LOCAL SUSTAINABILITY CONSULTING FIRM CONTINUES TO GROW

LITTLE ROCK, AR – APRIL 21, 2008: Little Rock based sustainability consulting group
ecoIntegration recently changed its name to Viridian and moved locations to accommodate the
growing demand for sustainable business solutions and to reflect the wide-array of services available
for clients. Matt Bell, co-founder of Bell-Corley Construction of Little Rock joined with founder of
ecoIntegration, Chris Ladner, to form Viridian in January 2008. The addition of Matt’s expertise in
the construction industry to Chris’ extensive experience in building efficiency and technology brings a
diverse background to engage clients.

Since January, this partnership has added two additional staff members to work with companies in a
more effective manner to achieve their goals whether that is to become more sustainable or simply
to build a more cost effective business plan.

A cornerstone of Viridian’s mission is to help those interested in engaging the U.S. Green Building
Council’s LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) rating system for new and existing
construction. As LEED Accredited Professionals, Bell and Ladner guide their clients through an
integrated process resulting in buildings that have reduced energy and water consumption, have less
environmental impact on the land and increased indoor environmental quality for their occupants.

“Our recent expansion only serves to strengthen the work we started in 2007,” said Ladner, “More
and more people are beginning to understand that adopting sustainable practices just makes good
financial sense. That’s why we’re here.”

Viridian offers a variety of additional solutions including LEED consulting, building commissioning and
retro-commissioning, energy efficiency consulting, indoor environmental quality, renewable energy
and general sustainability consulting. Viridian is an independent firm that works with architects,
engineers, contractors, building owners and managers to create a product specifically tailored for
each individual client.

Bell said that this is an exciting time for this new partnership as it “increases the opportunities for
clients interested in energy efficiency and growing the values of their assets. Moreover, we are
poised to help clients effortlessly transition into what will likely be a carbon constrained world.”

Viridian’s current client base represents growing and dynamic customers seeking sustainable
solutions. Those pursuing the LEED-NC (New Construction) certification include Hewlett-Packard’s
New Conway Facility, Garver Engineers Offices in North Little Rock, and Southern Thunder Harley
Davidson in Southaven, Mississippi. National Wallcoverings of Maumelle is working to be certified
under the LEED-EB (Existing Building) rating system. Vertical Lofts in Little Rock and City Grove in
North Little Rock’s Argenta area are seeking LEED-Homes status.

With help from Viridian, L’Oreal – recently featured the 2009 Arkansas Business Green Guide – is
proving that economic success and achieving beneficial environmental goals are not mutually
exclusive.

Formerly at 500 Pleasant Valley Drive in West Little Rock, Viridian is located just five miles away at
100 Gamble Road.
