Terrorism knows no religion, Only Muslims are not terrorists .

On September 11, 2001 at 8.45 a.m. on a clear Tuesday morning , an American Airline Boeing 767 loaded with 20,000 gallon of jet fuel crashed into the north tower of the World Trade Center in New York city . The impact left a gapping, burning, hole near the 80th floor of the 110 story- skyscraper, initially killing 100 of people. As the evacuation of the tower and its twin got underway television cameras broadcasts live images of what initially appeared to be a freak accident .Then 18 minutes after the first plane hit it, a second Boeing 767-United Airlines flight 175-appeared out of the sky, turned sharply toward the World Trade Center and sliced into the south tower near the 60th floor the collision caused a massive explosions that showered burning debris over surrounding buildings and the streets below. Moreover another plane hit the Pentagon just outside Washington and the fourth plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania .America was under attack.

The attack resulted in extensive death and destruction, triggering major U.S. initiatives to combat terrorism.3000 people were killed during the attacks in New York city and Washington D.C Including more than 400 police officer and firefighters. Some terrorists from Saudi Arabia and several of the Arab nations ,reportedly financed by Saudi fugitive Osama bin Ladens organization Al-Queeda were clamed as attackers .They were allegedly acting in relation for Americas support of Israel, its involvement in Persian Gulf War and its continued military presence in the Middle-East. The war against terrorism began.

Now What is terrorism ? What is Islam ?What Islam says about terrorism? Lets see.

Definition of terrorism:There is neither an academic nor an international legal consensus regarding the definition of the term "terrorism".[1][2] Various legal systems and government agencies use different definitions of "terrorism". Moreover, the international community has been slow to formulate a universally agreed upon, legally binding definition of this crime. These difficulties arise from the fact that the term "terrorism" is politically and emotionally charged.[3] Angus Martyn in a briefing paper for the Australian Parliament has stated that "The international community has never succeeded in developing an accepted comprehensive definition of

terrorism. During the 1970s and 1980s, the United Nations attempts to define the term foundered mainly due to differences of opinion between various members about the use of violence in the context of conflicts over national liberation and self-determination."[4] These divergences have made it impossible to conclude a Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism that incorporates a single, all-encompassing, legally binding, criminal law definition of terrorism.[5] In the meantime, the international community adopted a series of sectoral conventions that define and criminalize various types of terrorist activities. In addition, since 1994, the United Nations General Assembly has condemned terrorist acts using the following political description of terrorism: "Criminal acts intended or calculated to provoke a state of terror in the general public, a group of persons or particular persons for political purposes are in any circumstance unjustifiable, whatever the considerations of a political, philosophical, ideological, racial, ethnic, religious or any other nature that may be invoked to justify them."[6] A 2003 study by Jeffrey Record for the US Army quoted a source (Schmid and Jongman 1988) that counted 109 definitions of terrorism that covered a total of 22 different definitional elements.[7] Record continued "Terrorism expert Walter Laqueur also has counted over 100 definitions and concludes that the 'only general characteristic generally agreed upon is that terrorism involves violence and the threat of violence.' Yet terrorism is hardly the only enterprise involving violence and the threat of violence. So does war, coercive diplomacy, and bar room brawls".[8] As Bruce Hoffman has noted: "terrorism is a pejorative term. It is a word with intrinsically negative connotations that is generally applied to one's enemies and opponents, or to those with whom one disagrees and would otherwise prefer to ignore. (...) Hence the decision to call someone or label some organization 'terrorist' becomes almost unavoidably subjective, depending largely on whether one sympathizes with or opposes the person/group/cause concerned. If one identifies with the victim of the violence, for example, then the act is terrorism. If, however, one identifies with the perpetrator, the violent act is regarded in a more sympathetic, if not positive (or, at the worst, an ambivalent) light; and it is not terrorism."[3] For this and for political reasons, many news sources (such as Reuters) avoid using this term, opting instead for less accusatory words like "bombers", "militants", etc.[9][10] In many countries, acts of terrorism are legally distinguished from criminal acts done for other purposes.

Islam:-

slam is derived from the Arabic root "Salema": peace, purity, submission and

obedience. In the religious sense, Islam means submission to the will of God and obedience to His law.

Everything and every phenomenon in the world other than man is administered totally by God-made laws, ie. they are obedient to God and submissive to his laws, they are in the State of Islam. Man possesses the qualities of intelligence and choice, thus he is invited to submit to the good will of God and obey His law, ie, become a Muslim. Submission to the good will of God, together with obedience to His beneficial Law, ie, becoming a Muslim, is the best safeguard for man's peace and harmony. Islam dates back to the age of Adam and its message has been conveyed to man by God's prophets and messengers, including Abrahim, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad(SM). Islam's message has been restored and enforced in the last stage of the religious evolution by God's last prophet and messenger, Muhammad(SM). The word Allah in the Arabic language means God, or more accurately, The One and Only Eternal God, Merciful. The word Allah to Creator of the Universe, Lord of all lords, King of all kings, Most Compassionate, Most mean. God is also used by Arabic speaking Jews and Christians

What Islam says about terrorism:--

Unfortunately more and more often, Islam has been associated with terrorism and violence due to the actions of a few extreme individuals whove taken it upon themselves to do the most heinous crimes in the name of Islam. Tragic events such as the attack on the twin towers in New York, the bombings of Bali, Madrid and London are assumed to be justified by Islam in the minds of some people. This idea has been fueled further by many media channels which defame Islam by portraying these bombers as Islamists or Jihadists, as though they were sanctioned by Islam, or had any legitimate spokemenship on behalf of Muslims. The actions of a few fanatical individuals who happen to have Muslim names or ascribe themselves to the Muslim faith should not be a yardstick by which Islam is judged. For the same reason, that one would not do justice to Christianity if it where perceived as sanctioning the genocide of the Native Americans, the atrocities of world war II or the bombings of the IRA.

To understand Islams stance on terrorism, one must refer to its original sources, the Quran and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, which are explicit in their prohibition of any form of injustice including that of wanton violence which seeks to instill fear, injury or death to civilians. The Quran turns our attention to the high value of human life, whether it is Muslim or NonMuslim and makes it absolutely forbidden to take an innocent life unjustly. The gravity of such a crime is equated, in the Quran, with the killing of all humanity On that account: We ordained for the Children of Israel that if any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people. Then although there came to them Our apostles with clear signs, yet, even after that, many of them continued to commit excesses in the land. ( 5:32 ) Not only is human life sacred in Islam but the property, wealth, family and dignity of all individuals in society are to be respected and protected. Those who transgress these rights and sow fasad (corruption) as the Quran describes it, incur the wrath of Allah. "and seek not corruption in the earth; lo! Allah loveth not corrupters " (28:77) Likewise in another verse The blame is only against those who oppress men and wrong-doing and insolently transgress beyond bounds through the land, defying right and justice: for such there will be a penalty grievous (42:42) Islam goes further than just prohibiting oppression and safeguarding rights, it commands its faithful to deal kindly and compassionately to all those who seek to live in peace and harmony "Allah forbids you not, with regard to those who fight you not for your faith, nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them: For Allah loves those who are just" (60:8) In times of war and conflict, where enmity can obstruct an individuals judgement to act morally, Islam commands that justice be upheld even towards ones enemies. "O ye who believe! stand out firmly for Allah, as witnesses to fair dealing, and let not the hatred of others to you make you swerve to wrong and depart from justice. Be just: that is next to piety: and fear Allah. For Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do" (5:8)

Centuries before the Geneva Convention was drawn up, Muslims were bound by a code of conduct which the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, set. He forbade the killing of women, children and elderly in war. In an authentic narration the Prophet (pbuh) warned that he who kills anyone who has a covenant of peace with the Muslims will not smell the scent of Paradise. In fact, he taught that justice is not only to humans but must be shown to

animals and all living things. In a narration the Prophet (pbuh) informed us about how a lady was sent to hell because of a cat she had locked up until it starved and died. If such is the sanctity which Islam places on the soul of an animal, how much more grave is the killing of hundreds of innocent humans?!

Why terrorism occurs? All terrorist activities are motivated by two things. 1.Social and Political injustice:-People choose terrorism when they are trying to right what they perceive to be a social or political or historical wrong. When they have been deprived of their land or rights or denies these. 2.The belief that violence or its threat will be effective ,another saying this is : the belief that violence means justify the ends:Many terrorists in history said sincerely that they choose violence after long deliberation because they felt they had no choice.

Why

some Muslims are involved in terrorist activities?

Causes are sometimes easy to understand but difficult to resolve. One such cause is the Israel-Palestinian struggle that has created support by the majority of Muslim living in middle eastern countries for the plight of the Palestinian people. This is reflected by the financial support by wealthy citizens of countries, such as Saudi Arabia, of acts of terrorism emanating from that region. Although many Muslims have stated they will settle only for complete elimination of Israelis from that regions the realization of Palestinian state would be the only realistic way towards diminishing this attitude over time. Along

with this should be the assurance that the security of the Israelis would be guaranteed by all parties including world powers. The Mitchell Plan, wherein there would be an independent Palestinian state at an appropriate time in the near future, offers a fundamental resolution but it would require a very important additional provision to be effective. The provision would provide for an international military force that would guarantee the security of both parties for as many years in the future as required. Even if the United States had to provide an inordinate amount of the funding for the force it would be worth it to the American taxpayer as a price for guaranteeing their own security. By removing the major cause creating support for the terrorists it will reduce their ability to conduct harmful acts. Another cause for the United States to involve itself in that part of the world is the need for oil. The obvious resolution would be to minimize the need for middle east oil.

Is terrorism to Muslim monopoly:-.

Not only is Terrorism not a Muslim monopoly, it is not even a specialty of the Muslims. It is not even encouraged in Islam. It is prohibited. Allah(SWT) says: If any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people. - The Quran, Surah Al Maidah Ch. 5 V. 32

Figure 5Image of Palestine war

CNN recently published an article entitled Study: Threat of Muslim-American terrorism in U.S. exaggerated; according to a study released by Duke University and the University of North

Carolina at Chapel Hill, the terrorist threat posed by radicalized Muslim-Americans has been exaggerated. Yet, Americans continue to live in mortal fear of radical Islam, a fear propagated and inflamed by right wing Islamophobes. If one follows the cable news networks, it seems as if all terrorists are Muslims. It has even become axiomatic in some circles to chant: Not all Muslims are terrorists, but nearly all terrorists are Muslims. Muslims and their leftist dhimmi allies respond feebly, mentioning Waco as the one counter example, unwittingly affirming the belief that nearly all terrorists are Muslims. But perception is not reality. The data simply does not support such a hasty conclusion. On the FBIs official website, there exists a chronological list of all terrorist attacks committed on U.S. soil from the year 1980 all the way to 2005. That list can be accessed here (scroll down all the way to the bottom).

orist Attacks on U.S. Soil by Group, From 1980 to 2005, According to FBI Database

According to this data, there were more Jewish acts of terrorism within the United States than Islamic (7% vs 6%). These radical Jews committed acts of terrorism in the name of their religion. These were not terrorists who happened to be Jews; rather, they were extremist Jews who committed acts of terrorism based on their religious passions, just like Al-Qaeda and company. Terrorism knows no religion:--The reality is Terrorism cannot be born of religion. Terrorism is the product of corrupt minds, hardened hearts, and arrogant egos, and corruption, destruction, and arrogance are unknown to the heart attached to the divine. Islam is a religion of tolerance and peaceful coexistence with all of humanity both as individuals and communities. Islam views people as honored creatures without regard for their religion, race, or color. God Most High says, Verily We have honored the Children of Adam. We carry them on the land and the sea, and have made provision of good things for them, and have preferred them above many of those whom We have created with a marked preferment [17:70]. Islam has come up with a code for relations between Muslims and non-Muslims living in the same society: God forbids you not those who warred not against you on account of religion and drove you not out from your homes, that you should show them kindness and deal justly with them. Lo! God loves the just dealers [60:8]. God commands us in this verse to act well towards non-Muslims and not harm them saying, show them kindness (tabirruhum), for kindness (birr) is all that is good. It is as if God is commanding us, and making it preferable that we cooperate with non-Muslims in all avenues of good. All who truly know Islam are aware of its concern for global peace, since it made it one of its main pillars. It is unfortunate being

It is unfortunate that being suspected as terrorists many innocent Muslims lost lives after the incident of World Trade Center although a number of Muslims died in the incident of World trade center. .Wasnt that terrorist activities? Not only that many Muslims suffered hazardous condition because of their dresses and culture too.Even situation arises that a Muslim has to say I am Muslim and I am not terrorists. In Iraq war,Afgan war huge Muslims died who were not engaged in any war ,any terrorist activities. Is killing huge innocent people for only arrest a terrorist better than terrorism? Many humans were killed and suffered in Palestine war .Wasnt it terrorism? The tendeny of some Islamophobes only accusing Muslims as terrorists .Will this bring good to the world? Suppose in this situation if a Muslim starts to think that the anti terrorism war is actually not against terrorists but against Islam and Muslims in the guys of anti terrorist activities .Can we blame him?And if this conception is spread out all over the Muslim world what situation will arise?Revolution will occur which will be more dangerous than terrorism .Beacuse a significant amount of people are Muslims and it is impossible to imagine a peaceful and secured world keeping unhappy a larger community.

"Don't Invoke Islam: Although the al-Qaida network exploits religious sentiments and tries to use religion to justify its actions, we should treat it as an illegitimate political organization, both terrorist and criminal." -- From 'Words that Work and Words that Don't: A Guide for Counterterrorism Communication'.

In the last week or so President Obama visited the National Defence University in order to re-express, or revaluate, America's broad goals and commitments in its 'war against terror' This is true .The Muslims who killed innocent Muslims are insulting their religion They can not be true Muslims .Similarly those who killed innocent Muslims are also terrorists .Actually these two groups of people are helping each other indirectly. The anti terrorism war should be called against both of these two groups ,in other ways we should fight against those people who kills innocent people either he is Muslim or from other community. The anti terrorism activities should be operated neutrally ,it should not be biased if we want really a peaceful world. No religion supports terrorism and a few people in every religions are evils who are enough to make this world unstable. So we should not try to make popular a single community as terrorists because in this case the real terrorists are free which is not beneficiary for the world and mankind at all.Lets lead our lives naturally and peacefully
