PHILO1 Logic
This course is a compulsory requirement for many students of this College. Logic is a necessary tool in organizing thoughts and ideas presented to the students as well as in their own expression of thought. This course will enable them to process knowledge more effectively and accurately by teaching them concepts of logical syllogisms and even fallacies. CORE OBJECTIVES This course aims to: 1. Examine students perception and process of knowledge acquisition 2. Encourage students to question previous knowledge, in order to gain a holistic understanding of these knowledge 3. Develop critical thinking and reasoning 4. Inculcate the use of logic in every day routine

This course requires the following: o o o o o Regular attendance and good behavior Two major examinations (midterm exam and final exam) Recitation/ Class participation specially for activities Quizzes and Long exams Two projects (midterm project and final project, which may be either by group or individual)
