Every candidate admitted to the course shall pay the prescribed fees at the time of admission.

If a candidate is required to continue the course beyond the first academic year because of his/her non-fulfillment of the prescribed requirements for the award of the Diploma, he/she will have to continue the course for the subsequent two academic years or till all the requirements are completed, whichever is earlier, by paying a continuation fee as prescribed for each year. At the end of the third academic year if the candidate fails to fulfill all the requirements for the award of the Diploma, the admission stands automatically cancelled.

About the Centres


Patents Law : The contact seminar classes and examinations will be held at the proximate Centres Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Ahmedabad and Chennai. Cyber Laws : The contact seminar classes will be held at the proximate Centres - Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi. However the examinations can also be taken from other centres - Pune, Ahmedabad and Chennai. Media Laws : The contact seminar classes will be held at Hyderabad, Mumbai & New Delhi. However the examinations can also be taken from other centres - Bangalore, Pune, Ahmedabad and Chennai. International Humanitarian Laws : There are no contact classes for this course. The written examinations will be conducted within India at Hyderabad, Delhi and at select Countries with ICRC Delegations. Note : The University reserves the right to cancel any of the above centres and candidates will be informed about the same prior to the admission.

About the Teaching Methods


Reading Materials - Print form NALSAR Pro- aims to combine the face to face Contact programmes at designated centres along with web based learning. The students will be provided printed modules of materials prepared by NALSAR Pro. For Post Graduate Diploma in International Humanitarian Laws the reading materials will be uploaded in the site and no print material will be supplied. CD-ROM The candidates will also be provided with CD ROMs of the modules, which are easy to access and use. For P.G. Diploma in International Humanitarian Law a CD ROM of the reading materials can be obtained by placing an order with a Demand Draft payable to The Registrar, NALSAR Proximate Education , at Hyderabad a sum of INR Rs.1500/- (Indian) and $50 (for SAARC countries and other regions) inclusive of postal charges. Web support NALSAR Proximate Education uses electronic media of Internet, websites, e-mail to conduct the course. The Course is imparted through a dedicated website-www.nalsarpro.org. The modules will also be available in the website. The web site will have periodic updates and will have guest columns from the subject experts. The website will be on a password basis free of cost to the enrolled candidates. The learners can interact with subject guides through e-mail. Contact Seminars Contact Seminar classes are held for two - three days, twice during the course on weekends. For P.G. Diploma in International Humanitarian Law there are no contact classes. Enrolled candidates will have the facility of consultation through e-mail or website with identified panel of experts in the field of Humanitarian Law.

International Humanitarian Law which governs situations of International and internal armed conflicts has assumed considerable significance in different parts of the world during the recent past on account of proliferation of armed conflicts and armed violence. Admission Criteria A candidate for admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Patents Law, Cyber Laws and Media Laws shall have passed a bachelor's degree of any recognized university or an equivalent qualification as approved by the NALSAR Proximate Education Admissions Department. A candidate for admission to Post Graduate Diploma in International Humanitarian Laws shall have passed a bachelor's degree of any recognized university or an equivalent qualification as approved by the NALSAR Proximate Education Admissions Department or a professional with equivalent qualification with at least two years experience in any field. Admission Procedure Candidates intending to enroll for admission can download the Application Form from the website www.nalsarpro.org. The downloaded application form has to be submitted to us complete in all aspects. The Admissions are generally open from March every year.
