Unit 2- Introduction to Pronoun


A pronoun is a word that is used in place of a noun.
When you talk about a group you are part of or yourself, you use the
pronoun we or I. When you talk about your friends, members of your
family or other people, you use the pronouns he, she and they.
When you talk about things, you use the pronoun it.
Examples: The girl has an iPod.

The boy has an XBox.

A verb expresses actions or mental action.


Verbs are doing words. A verb usually expresses an action.
Examples:
The student wrote a letter.
(In this example, the word wrote is a verb. It expresses the action to
write.)

(The word bought is a verb. It expresses the action to buy.)
Verbs Express Mental Actions too.
Verbs do not necessarily express physical actions. They can express mental
actions too.
Examples:
Peter guessed the right number.
(The word guessed is a verb. It expresses the action to guess.)

Unit 4- Introduction to Adjective


Adjectives are words that describe, or modify, another person or thing in
the sentence.
Often adjectives will tell what kind, how many, or which one
Adjectives are almost always next to the noun or pronoun they describe.
They may come before or after the noun.
Examples:

The pretty girl is wearing pink.

Unit 8- Introduction to Interjections


Interjections are exclamatory words that express strong emotion.
Interjections have no other grammatical connection with the rest of the
sentence.
Interjections may be followed by either comma or exclamation point.

Aha! Ive found your secret!
