Cole x Dollar And A Dream Tour @ Baltimore Soundstage Baltimore, MD Thursday June 13, 2013 On May 31st all of Baltimore was put into a frenzy when Roc Nation artist J. Cole posted a photo of his Dollar And A Dream Tour list, via his verified Instagram and Twitter accounts, with Baltimore being the 3rd stop on the tour. The caption read, A Dollar, but there was a catch. Entry into these secret shows is only $1 with no tickets being sold prior on a first come first serve basis. There was another catch to this tour, actual venue locations would not be released until either the night before or only a few hours prior to doors opening for each show via Twitter. Baltimore was buzzing the days leading to Thursday June 13th and fans began lining the blocks of Downtown near local venues as the clouds rumbled above in the early morning hours, clinging to their smartphones and refreshing their Twitter apps eagerly waiting on the venue release. At approximately 10:16 AM the official Twitter page of Baltimore Soundstage released that they were indeed the secret location for J. Coles Dollar And A Dream Baltimore show with J. Cole following suit hours later. Tickets were released at the box office at 4 PM and sold out about 40 minutes later to die-hard fans that weathered the stormy conditions while waiting outside the venue for hours. June 13th was a very special night for lucky fans to experience an intimate night in Dreamville with J. Cole. An opportunity to plug his upcoming album Born Sinner to be released on Tuesday June 18th; J. Cole took a different route and spent most of the night catering to fans who have been there since day one. The 28-yearold Fayetteville, North Carolina native took to the stage with a humble stance and thanked the crowd before he opened the show with Grown Simba; a track from his 2009 mixtape The Warm Up showcasing his hunger that has never let up, I was like a young Simba, couldnt wait to be king. During his hour long set J. Cole performed a total of 15 songs including Before Im Gone, Premeditated Murder, You Got It, and Back To The Topic (Freestyle) off of his 2010 mixtape Friday Night Lights; Sideline Story, Nobodys Perfect, Lights Please, and In The Morning from his 2011 debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story; as well as Kenny Lofton and Chris Tucker of his most recent 2013 EP Truly Yours 2 released this past April. J. Cole shared the Baltimore Soundstage with Dreamville artist Bas as they performed Lit off of the Queens, New York rappers 2013 LP Quarter Water Raised Me Vol. II; a smooth track enthused with a sample of Do You by R&B sensation Miguel. The crowd roared with excitement and sang along to J. Coles late st single Crooked Smile from his upcoming sophomore album Born Sinner. His set came to an end in the most clever way with a performance of Dreams off of his second mixtape The Warm Up followed by radio hit Power Trip; a song that he crafted as a

continuation of the story, Had a thing for you, even wrote the song Dreams for you. Fans could not have asked for more from such a dedicated and talented artist on a tour like none other; consistently giving true meaning to the name behind his tour Dollar And A Dream. J. Cole even stayed behind for a Meet & Greet and photos with lucky fans presented by Baltimore radio station 92 Q Jams; a night in Dreamville that Baltimore will never forget.
