FOCOLARE DAY in MATI (January 27, 2013)

Different impressions/learnings after the day: From Edsa(Red Cross Youth): Gaan kaayo akong feeling during sa mga sharings especially when I found out na open siya sa tanan religion. Then, by just listening and watching sa mga tao na nag share murag at the same time gina encourage ko nila to be a part of the Gen Movement. I really learned that LOVE is not just a feeling for two persons but at the same time, to others also. I am so happy that I was given a chance to join the Focolare where I met new friends and new family. From James (preGEN): On that day, I realized that GOD loves us all even if lahi-lahi ta ug religion. "If you are a Muslim, be a good believer" also, I realized that despite of the war, unity can be possible through LOVING our NEIGHBOR. And LOVE is the real meaning of freedom. From Ralph: I was struck of the authentic LOVE given by the GEN. Though, we don't have band instruments of our own, we never mind it. Instead, we gave all our efforts and LOVE. It really inspires me to go ahead. Until now, I still fell the happiness in my heart and unity ti everyone. I realized that if we love each other and if we always keep Jesus in our midst, we can do everything. we just have to entrust everything to Jesus and all things are possible. Salig lang. through Focolare, I found true happiness and peace. I am much more close to Jesus and it gave me courage to love every neighbor I'll meet. From Paula- singer: wow! After the event, I still feel the enjoyment I had because of that wonderful experience. after all the sacrifices that we did, seeing the smiles of the people around me is too much already to ease the tiredness. Until now, my memories of that day are still fresh in my mind. Thank you so much for the infinite LOVE. From Jean (Red Cross Youth): it was fun. Knowing other people through their experiences with GOD, it was great amazing. and learning those things that represent the color of the Focolare especially the color Orange which talks about LOVE, naka relate jud tanan- "love others, love your family, love yourself, and above all, LOVE GOD". I realized that if you embrace the spirit of giving, more blessings you'll receive. Also, to LOVE every neighbor, this is the person next to us. i learned how to treasure and value

friendship, not to lose hope because GOD will never forsake us and the most thing is to "LOVE ANE ANOTHER AS GOD LOVES US". Focolare Movement rocks! From Leah Mae(preGEN): I really had fun during that Focolare Day. I've met lot of people that I was happen to share thoughts, ideas, SMILE, and LOVE. I learned many things like "when you give, you don't need to expect something on return", and "LOVE ALL". It made me realized that I really need to change myself for a better individual. I never regret in attending the Focolare day because I felt the sincerity of the program, the belongingness, the family, the appreciation, and the LOVE, despite of the limited time. May we always keep JESUS in our midst. From Jonabell(dancer): Focolare day is one of the events that I will never forget. the experiences, videos, and songs were so meaningful that I felt happiness inside. i was so happy seeing the invitees' genuine smile. There I learned more the essence and real meaning of LOVE to our brothers and sisters in simple way. it made me become a better GEN. From Jane(emcee): with my experience in the Focolare day, I've proven something that despite of the differences we people have, we can conquer any hardship and with unity and LOVE, we can reach out even to the most queer people.
