Sonos componentLEDs
Question
What do the flashing LEDs mean on the front of my Sonos components? or Why is my ZonePlayer flashing green/white/etc?
Answer
The Sonos components has two LED indicators. The first is the Mute button indicator, which can light solid or flashing green. The second is the component status indicator (located between the Mute and Volume Up buttons) which may light white, orange, or red depending upon the cause. For an interactive demo of the ZonePlayer's LEDs, click here. Upgrading software
Flashing amber, white, repeat Occurs when ZP is beginning to experience an inadequate cooling condition. ZP will reduce to 75% volume. Check ZP vents for adequate cooling, and/or check for speaker shorts. To get out of warning mode, mute and unmute ZP, or unplug ZP for several minutes to allow it to cool. If the warning condition above is not remedied, the ZP will automatically mute itself to prevent damage to the ZonePlayer. After checking ZP vents for adequate cooling, and/or checking for speaker shorts, mute and unmute ZP, or unplug ZP for several minutes to allow it to cool.
