VCR
A unique feature of Directors Cut Take 2 is the ability to connect a preview monitor while capturing, editing or exporting video. Users who are familiar with DV editing know that the picture quality on a preview screen of a DV application is usually of lesser quality or smaller size. A preview monitor allows you to bypass this problem by displaying the final result on a TV screen. For example, any mistakes that might have been made during editing will be easily spotted on a preview monitor. This time saving feature does not require any additional processing power from your computer. The dual output feature can also be used to export to two VCR - Or any other analogue video recording equipment simultaneously.

Press reviews
We are very impressed with the Miglia Director's Cut. With the standard having been set by Canopus for several months (at the time of review) we were very surprised to find that the Miglia came up to standard and - in some cases - actually exceeds it. The Director's Cut does everything intended of it and more, and we're confident that it will establish a strong foothold in this growing market. Although slightly more expensive than the Canopus, the Director's Cut provides excellent value and won't disappoint those wishing to bring their analogue legacy footage into the digital world.
While the Director's Cut Take 2 is in the upper high end when it comes to price, its features (dual outputs, NTSC and PAL support, bundled cables, great design and near flawless implementation and cross-platform operation) make it a winner. The Director's Cut Take 2 is certainly an improvement over the original Director's Cut and if you're looking for a solid, reliable DV capture device that is a true model of what plug and play should be, the Director's Cut Take 2 is an excellent choice
Once an a while, in this business, you get to review a product that pretty much gets it so right that you are inclined to tell your readers Ok, thats done. This is it, the best you can get, dont bother looking elsewhere. Thats how I feel about Directors Cut by Miglia, the best analog-to-digital converter on the market. It just doesnt work, it works perfectly. The bottom line for products like this is two-fold. Ease of use and the quality of the conversion. Directors Cut proves that you dont have to sacrifice one for the other. Its simple to use, simple enough that you can begin capturing in minutes after hooking it up, and the quality of the conversion if the best Ive seen.
