Project Details: NetHealth21 Client: British Telecommunications Plc. (BT) NetHealth21 is an instance of the BTs performance managing system. This instance is used to monitor the capacity, health and performance of the devices that are a part of BTs 21st century (21CN) network. The project involves retrieving the inventory of devices in the network, discovery and polling of the devices and reporting on critical performance metrics for Operations personnel to monitor and act accordingly. Activities and Responsibilities CST Testing/Development/Review in agile process of development. Wrote Shell/Perl scripts for automation of deployment and testing process on dierent platforms. NetHealth21 team representative at BT T2R (Trouble to Resolve) colocation center (Pune)from Apr. 2010 till Mar. 2011 Responsible for analysis, resolution and closure of defects coming across E2E (End to End)testing on BT Test Platform. Handled daily Defect Resolution Call Documentation of Defect logs and xes to avoid recurrent platform/development issues which escape in CST(Component Systems Testing).

Academic Projects Memory leak detection in JAVA using container proling- Under the guidance of Dr. Amey karkare, Department of Computer Science and Engineering , IITK as a part of CS738 Project. April, 2011 We implement Precise Memory Leak Detection for Java Software Using Container Proling Guoqing Xu , Atanas Rountev. ICSE08 Unused references in a program lead to memory leaks in JAVA. Static analysis cannot precisely identify these references. Hence we use container based heap tracking approach as many memory leaks in Java programs occur due to containers that keep references to the data entries that are not being used. We track only containers instead of arbitrary objects and directly identify source of the leak. We compute a condence value for each container based on combination of its memory consumption and staleness of its elements. We implement code instrumentation in soot optimization framework and collect Proling statistics using JVMTI(Java Virtual Machine Tools Interface). We perform analysis on this data to nd out leaking container. SMS Based Shopping- Under the guidance of Dr. T V Prabhakar, Department of Computer Science and Engineering , IITK as a part of CS727 Project. Dec, 2011 We design and develop a system which targets local audience and avails them with a facility to shop over SMS. Our system uses LAMP architecture. It is an individual web application which is interfaced with txtW eb API for sending and receiving messages. Ecient Systems for Real Estate Price Prediction - Under the guidance of Dr. Arnab Bhattacharya, Department of Computer Science and Engineering , IITK as a part of CS685 Project. Dec, 2011 We implement dierent Classication and prediction algorithms on a real estate data to predict prices. we experimentally compare dierent techniques on test data. We use MATLAB for implementation of all classication and linear regression algorithms. Visual CAPTCHA generation custom control for ASP.NET framework- as a part of Bachelor Thesis. May, 2009 A CAPTCHA is a type of challenge-response test used to ensure that the response is generated by a person. We develop a custom control for ASP.NET framework which would allow web developers to add visual CAPTCHA on their webpages. This control is easily congurable and developer can choose between dierent CAPTCHA styles and challenges. It is written in C #. Our aim is to improve strength of a CAPTCHA by increasing randomness in a challenge. We pick a random string from a set of characters and generate an image instead of using small pool of images. We implement dierent types like Mathematical, text, interaction with text. We randomize on length, style and type of challenge.
