NOVEL

WORKSHEET 1

My Digital Storytelling
Create a digital storytelling based on at least three moral values from the story and support it with textual evidence. Here is an example to help you to get started.

Sample text Based on the novel, the moral values that I have learnt are we should always be loyal. Loyalty is a very important quality. Passepartout showed loyalty to his employer, Phileas Fogg. Although he did not know Phileas very well, Passepartout was sure that he was a true gentleman. He refused to believe Detective Fix when he tried to convince him that Phileas was a bank robber. Passepartout did everything he could to protect Phileas and help him win his wager. Other than that, we must show determination in order to achieve our goals. We should always keep on trying, no matter what happens. If we wish to accomplish our goals, we should persist and never give up. In the novel, Phileas won his wager because of his determination and focus. When faced with an obstacle, Phileas never gave up but always tried to find a way to overcome the obstacle. We must help others in need. Helping others in need is a good and noble act. In the novel, Phileas and the others rescued Aouda from the bandits. This was a very brave act as they risked their lives for her. Phileas also saved Passepartout from going to jail in India and later rescued him from the outlaws in America. Suggestion: For low achievers, this text can be cut up into puzzle pieces for them to rearrange. Then, they can proceed with the recording and preparing Powerpoint presentation.
