n today's highly challenging business environment, senior leaders are faced with complex and often

contradictory demands from a range of stakeholdersamong them customers, employees, investors, and governments. Leadership and Corporate AccountabilityIndia examines the dynamic and everevolving role of accountability in the 21st century Indian corporation. Focusing on strategic governance, this program uses case studies involving Indian and global companies to explore methods of managing the demands of external and internal stakeholders. A particular emphasis will be paid to case studies of leaders managing companies ethically and profitably in the context of widespread public corruption. Our engagement in this region, initiated with case studies focused on companies operating in India, has gradually expanded to include development initiatives for faculty in India, specialized education programs, analysis of local business challenges through the India Research Center, and a new state-of-the-art classroom at the Taj Lands End in Mumbai. Your Course of Study


Leadership and Corporate AccountabilityIndia is built around highly illustrative regional and global case studies that represent a broad range of issues faced by corporate leaders across businesses, industries, and countries. As a participant, you will explore the concept of strategic governance the mechanisms and systems that allow corporate leaders to interact with and manage the demands of both external and internal stakeholders. You will emerge better prepared to navigate the challenges that lie ahead for your organization. This program's curriculum is based on leading-edge global research, prevailing codes of business conduct, and the curriculum of Harvard's highly successful Leadership and Corporate Accountability required MBA course. It incorporates best-practice cases on Indian companies such as crisis management at Taj Hotels during 26/11, and building a globally trusted brand at Infosys as well as cautionary cases from Wall Street during the global financial crisis. The curriculum will also include case studies from businesses in other emerging markets such as China and Russia.
