Over the summer months at the Besom we're going to be looking at the great I AM statements of Jesus, from John's

Gospel; drawing encouragement and strength from all they tell us about Him and from all that we can expect when we believe and trust in His words.
I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go 30th June - 6th hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. John 6: 35
Monday Tuesday Thank Y ou that Y ou care for our every need. Pray for those organisations like the Besom, F oodbank, Carecent would be able to show God's love by providing for those who hunger.
July

Wednesday Pray for churches in Clifton and thank God for the way they do feed the community that surround them. Thursday Friday Pray for all those receiving Bibles, that they would be fed with God's word. Pray for recipients who hunger for more than food; that the Besom could point them to God.

I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. Monday Tuesday Thank God that he can light every darkness. Pray for recipients in pain that they would receive healing.

7th July - 13th July

John 8: 12

Wednesday Pray for the churches in Tang Hall; that they would be a shining light in their community. Thursday Pray for those lonely in their homes; that the Besom would come alongside them. Friday Pray that the Besom givers would be able to give hope to all in darkness.

I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He 14th July - 20th July will come in and go out, and find pasture. John 10: 9
Monday Tuesday Thank God for his unending justice and mercy. Help those who give through the Besom to be a signpost to the gate Jesus.

Wednesday Pray for the churches in Y ork city centre that they would be a place help and guidance for those who need direction. Thursday Help us to remember that it is ONLY through Jesus we can be saved! Friday Thank God for the promise of good pasture, heaven..

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life 21st July - 27th July for the sheep. John 10: 11 Monday Tuesday Thank Jesus for laying down his life for all the world. Pray for the trustees as they help guide the vision of the Besom in Y ork.

Wednesday Pray for the church in Acomb North; that they would focus on God's will. Thursday Pray for the recipients who feel lonely or uncared for; that the Besom would help them find their Shepherd. Friday Pray that Christians in Y ork will keep looking for the lost sheep and not give up.
28th July - 3rd August

I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.

John 11: 25-26

Thank Y ou for the promise of everlasting life if we believe in Jesus! Pray for those recipients with terminal illnesses; that the Besom could offer support and hope through this painful, difficult time. Pray for churches in Huntington that they would bring life to their community. Pray for restoration for broken lives. Pray that the Core T eam could show comfort, with this passage, to recipients who have been bereaved.

I am the Way . . No one comes to the F ather except through me. Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Thank God that He guide us along His paths.

4th - 10th August

John 14: 6 Pray for people facing crossroads in their lives; for help in their time of need. Pray for the churches in Acomb South that they would point to Jesus. Pray for those who feel they've lost their way; for guidance and support. Pray for families without a father's presence that they would always know the love of their Heavenly F ather.
11th - 17th August

John 14: 6 Pray that Besom teams out on decorating projects could share God's truth with the recipients they serve. Pray for the churches in the South East of Y ork that they would point the way to the F ather. Pray for more opportunities to give out God's truth (Bibles) on van runs Pray that givers would be filled with the spirit of truth.

 And the Life . Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Thank God for giving us life in all its fullness.

18th - 24th August John 14: 6

Pray for recipients who feel worthless that Besom could show them their value. Pray for the churches in the villages around Y ork that they would be full of life. Pray that with support recipients would be able to fulfil their potential. Pray for those who feel weighed down my mental health issues that they would receive 'new life'.
25th-31st August

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Thank God that through Jesus all things are possible!

John 15: 5

Pray that gardening projects would bear much fruit in recipient's lives. Pray for the churches throughout Y ork that their congregations would grow! Pray for Christians in Y ork that they would stand firm in their faith in Jesus. Pray for enduring relationships between givers and recipients.
