Tarpaulin Printing Process

Tarp Printing is a process of printing in a canvas called tarpaulin. It is commonly used in any advertising signage, banners and billboards. Tarpaulin is a cheaper material than paper print and plastic prints and it is more durable. The process simply includes layouting of the design using software, e.i. Adobe Photoshop. It last for up to six months when displayed out in the open.

Business location

Tarpaulin House will be renting a space in Tabaco City were the main business district is located in the first district of Albay. Since the main competitors locations are far from the main highways of the city, Tarpaulin House decided to situate the business were clients could easily locate the establishment. The establishment will be located at Demetrio St. Brgy. Quinale, Tabaco City, at the back of Tabaco City Mall. The cost of monthly rental is ten thousand pesos (P 10, 000.00).

OFFICE LAYOUT

The size of the office is 7m x 5m divided into 4 small rooms. The first room is 5m x 2.30m. This is where clients are entertained and where the layouting process is done. The second room is 5m x 3m. This is the working area of the business. The tarpaulin printer which is 6.2ft in size and a shelf will be placed in this area. The last two rooms are the storage room and the comfort room. The storage room is 2m x 1.7m where the tarpaulin rolls, solvent inks and other supplies will be placed. The comfort room is 1m x 1.7m.

Waste Disposal

The proper disposal of garbage is very important. Since the business is tarpaulin printing, the garbage consists of tarpaulin scraps, ink bottles (plastic) and papers. Trash baskets will be placed in the working area and in the main office to maintain the cleanliness inside. Empty ink bottles can be recycled therefore it will be collected and will be brought to a junkshop.
