BIODATA OF SPEAKERS
Chang Wei Mun
Chang Wei Mun was called to the Malaysian Bar in 1986. He is a partner of Messrs Raja, Darryl & Loh since 1991 and presently heads the firms construction and energy department. He has been involved in dispute resolution processes with regard to various construction projects including international airports, hotels, commercial complexes, a water treatment plant, a petrochemical facility, oil rigs, a paper mill, a waste disposal facility, a major dam, a power station, undersea fibre optic cabling, and land reclamation works. He is the current President of MIArb and was listed as a leading lawyer in the field of construction dispute resolution in Chambers ASIA 2010, 2011 and 2012. He has acted as president, and co-arbitrator in respect of 3 member arbitral tribunals as well as sole arbitrator in various international and domestic arbitrations. He is a member of the panel of arbitrators of the ICC, Malaysia, KLRCA, and Korean Commercial Arbitration Board. He is a Fellow of the CIArb, MIArb and SIArb.

Ooi Huey Min

Ooi Huey Min was called to the Malayan Bar in 1999 and has since practiced as an advocate and solicitor in Kuala Lumpur, focusing on litigation and alternative dispute resolution. He acts as both counsel and solicitor in arbitration and arbitration-related litigation and has been involved in a number of arbitration-related court cases which have given rise to decisions relating to arbitration law reported in Malaysian law journals and publications. He is a member of the Kuala Lumpur Centre for Arbitrations Panels of Arbitrators and Mediators, a Fellow of both the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators (MIArb) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and a member of the Malaysian Advocates & Solicitors Disciplinary Boards Disciplinary Committee Panel.

Lam Ko Luen
Lam Ko Luen was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 1996 and the Sarawak Bar in 2001. He is a partner in Messrs Shook Lin & Bok since 2005. He is currently the Deputy Head of the firm's International & Domestic Arbitration department. Ko Luen specializes in the areas of International & Domestic Arbitration, Building & Construction Contract Disputes and General & Civil Litigation. His experience includes drafting and assisting in negotiations, representing local and multinationals clients (including foreign governments) in various dispute resolution proceedings, advising on matters relating to various industries such as shipbuilding, oil and gas, ports, water treatment plants, hydro-electric projects, airports and butadiene extraction plants. He was recommended in Asia Chambers 2011 and 2012. He is a Fellow and current Deputy President of MIArb and a Fellow of CIArb [UK]. He is also a member of the Panel of Arbitrators and Panel of Adjudicators of KLRCA and various organisations.

Sr Ong Hock Tek

Ong Hock Tek HT is the Managing Director of BK Entrusty and a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and Civil Engineering Surveyor, Chartered Builder, Registered Quantity Surveyor and Certified Construction Project Manager. He is a multi-disciplinary and specialist consultant, with over 25 years of experience in quantity surveying, administration/management of various types of construction projects, claims preparation/defense, dispute resolution, risks and value management and has worked with various professionals across the industry. He also acts as an Arbitrator, Mediator and Negotiator on various construction disputes. HT is a Fellow of CIArb [UK] and a Panel Arbitrator of MIArb and SIArb, an Accredited Mediator and Value Manager, a Certified Construction Project Manager with CIDB, a Regional Convenor of Institution of Value Management, Australia, Past Deputy President of Chartered Institute of Building Malaysia, 1st Treasurer-General of RISM, and has been a Panel Mediator/ Arbitrator of KLRCA. He is the immediate Past President of Lighthouse Club, Kuala Lumpur. Being a Master Trainer, HT has organised and delivered many conferences, seminars and workshops on various subject areas.

Sanjay Mohanasundram

Sanjay is a partner in Messrs Kadir Andri & Partners and is responsible for the construction and engineering practice group. He was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 1995 and has been practicing in the field of construction and engineering law as well as commercial arbitration and litigation. He has advised and represented clients in various complex construction and engineering disputes in Malaysia, Singapore and the Middle East. His experience in relation to construction and engineering disputes is extremely varied which include disputes with regard to power plants, infrastructure project, office towers, hospitals, sale and purchase of machinery and fabrication of steel parts for power plants. He has also appeared in numerous arbitrations in Malaysia and been involved in a number of international arbitrations that were held in Singapore, London, United States, Australia and Dubai.
