Highway 150 just north of Rowley corner D47 V62 just north of D16 Bridge D22 between Independence and Winthrop is closed fro construction As of 9:30 am on June 27, 2013 the following Buchanan County Secondary Roads Department was reporting the following roads closed: 1. W35 south of Quasqueton from 290th St (D47) to 300th St 2. Quonset Ave from 290th St to 310th St 3. 232nd St from Nelson Ave to Plymouth Ave 4. 310th St from Vincent Ave to Washington Ave 5. Washington Ave from 260th St to 270th St 6. 250th St from Quasqueton Diagonal to Pine Ave If you note an unmarked area, please report to the Buchanan County Roads Department at 319-334-6031 or Buchanan County Sheriffs Office at 319-3342567 and ideally mark to warn others. Sandbagging Collection The City of Independence has distributed pallets throughout areas where sandbagging took place. Place full sandbags neatly on the pallets and the city will collect. Volunteers No sandbagging volunteers needed at this time.

Linn County 2013 Flood #2


Linn County Fair Due to the projected flood waters from the Wapsipinicon River flooding the Linn County Fairgrounds, all grandstand and grounds events after today have been cancelled for the fair. The Linn County Fair 4-H Livestock events have been moved to the Delaware County Fairgrounds in Manchester, Iowa. The Linn County Fair 4-H Livestock shows will now be a show and go event, with animals being released immediately following the show unless the animals are being auctioned. Most of the shows will happen immediately following check-ins. The tentative schedule of livestock events can be found at www.thelinncountyfair.com.

Road Closures There are many road closures in Linn County. Refer callers to the website of www.linncounty.org for the most up-to-date closures. Boat Ramps The boat ramps will be closed from 1pm Thursday, June 27 th through 7pm Saturday, June 29th due to high water levels.
