1. STATEMENT OF THE PUPILS PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

The students are all from Saudi Arabia and are studying at GMIT in a number of disciplines (accounting, business, engineering, hotel & catering, HR, and IT) and have basic knowledge about what tourism is but may not know the impacts of it.

RATIONALE FOR THE SELECTION & STRUCTURING OF SUBJECT MATTER AND FOR THE METHODOLOGY Having basic information about tourism and the impacts and effects of it will help the students to understand and go deeper in the understanding. The students must have a good knowledge about how is tourism affecting their countries and what is the role its playing in enhancing or damaging the wellbeing of the country and people and the environment. I will try to cover some aspects like the political, environmental and economic impacts by using different kind of methods. 3. AIMS
