Get students work in groups of three. Xerox, cut up and paste on cards, introduce the papers in an envelope. Make as many envelopes as groups you have in your classroom. The purpose of the activity is to make students use the correct word order for adjective + enough and too + adjective and understand that they use too with a adjectives that have a negative implication : like too expensive, too ugly, too stupid. Students have to identify the word in each pair that will be used with too and the other will be used with enough and the negative form in order to say the same thing: She is too stupid / she is not intelligent enough
Divide the class in groups of 3 or 4 ( maximum ), Photocopy the Chart and give every team one chart One member from team 1 will give a letter and a number for team 2. For example: (Letter c, Number 3 ) One member from team 2 has 5 seconds to make two sentences with the same meaning using both words, too and enough. (She is too stupid/ She is not intelligent enough ) Now a member from team 2 picks a number and a letter for team 3 and so on until all teams have made up their sentences. Very frequently theres one student in a team who wants to give all the answers, dont let the same student give the answer. Everyone should participate. The typical mistake will be to use the wrong word order or the positive idea with too like she is too intelligent or she is not stupid enough. If they have a mistake they dont get the point. If one student who already answered gives another sentence the team doesnt get the point. If they take more than 5 seconds they dont get the point. (You can decide if 5 seconds is enough, depending the level and the class, when the student starts saying the sentence you stop counting to let the student concentrate on the answer).

One strategy to help your students pronounce this sound is to ask them to put a pencil in their mouth and say words with r using the pencil so that they understand the movement of the tongue. /b/ /v/ It is important to emphasize the difference between the bilabial sound and the dental one so that they will make the difference. Now you can ask your students write a paragraph using one of the topic sentences. Ask them to pick any of the topic sentences previously provided and write down a paragraph about it.
