Techno-commercial offer for Design, Supply, Installation, Erection, Testing, Commissioning and Operation & Maintenance of BIOGAS PLANT based on treatment of Organic Canteen / Kitchen / Food Waste.
Part A - INPUTS TO THE PROPOSED BIOGAS PLANT
Sr Particulars No 1. Segregated Biodegradable Canteen / Kitchen / Food Waste Quantity Approx. 7.5 Ton/month Quality Devoid of Nonbiodegradable material like Plastic, glass, cloth, metal, wood pieces, rubber etc.

Notes: Quantity of Waste is the Quantity taken for Designing of the Plant, in concurrence with the Clients requirement.

Part B - ADVANTAGES OF THE PROPOSED BIOGAS PLANT

Neat and hygienic disposal of organic waste. Low space requirements No foul smell and flies / mosquito nuisance, since gas tight top covers are provided. Very easy maintenance and low operating costs - semi skilled operators required. Low requirement of electricity, water, manpower, transport and other utilities. High conversion of waste to biogas, hence less generation of sludge. Savings from Depreciation, Taxes, Duties, Carbon Credits etc. for this Non Conventional Energy System.

Part C
Sr No. 1.

ANTICIPATED OUTPUTS FROM THE PLANT

Particulars Biogas Quantity Approx. 600 m3/month which is equivalent to Approx. 250 Kg/month of LPG Quality Approx. Concentration: Methane: 55 to 60 % Carbon Dioxide: 35 to 40 % Hydrogen Sulphide: 0.5 to 1% Calorific Value: 4500 Kcal/cum Non putrescible, Low pathogen content, suitable for use as manure after drying Can be let out in farms

2.

Waste Solids / Biomanure

Approx. 7.5 ton/annum, (part of it will be removed monthly or quarterly) Approx. 400 lit/day

3.

Water Effluent

Notes:
Biogas generation is proportional to quality and quantity of waste loaded. Biogas may be used for cooking and heating application. If the Biogas is not used, it is required to be flared as letting the same in the atmosphere is not permitted by the Authorities. Slurry (bio-sludge) from the digester is removed periodically and suitably disposed off after sun drying. This may be used as Organic Manure / soil conditioner. The digestate (biomanure) from the system is required to be treated in STP / ETP before discharging into environment.

Area Required built up area for standard system will be Approx. 60 sq. m. However, after survey of the available land area, site contours, tailor-made layout will be prepared taking into consideration the site conditions etc.

Water Approx. 400 lit / day, Devoid of disinfectants

Notes:
Figures given above are indicative for standard system and will be site specific. After survey of the available land area, site contours, tailor-made layout will be

prepared taking into consideration the site conditions etc.

Water required should be devoid of disinfectants. Consumables and lubricants like oil & grease, pH adjusters and bionutrients will

be required for the efficient working of the proposed biogas plant on as required basis.
Electric supply will be 3 Phase, 440 volts in the proposed Biogas Plant.

Part F - BRIEF PROCESS DESCRIPTION

The segregated kitchen / food / canteen waste will be brought to the plant site. It will further be crushed in slurry preparation unit along with suitable quantity of water to form slurry. This slurry will be fed into the Inlet cum Recycle Chamber. The slurry will be mixed properly and then fed to the Mailhem Anaerobic digester/s. In the digester/s the organic waste is converted into biogas, biomanure and bio-sludge. Part of the treated overflow Bio-manure - from the digester/s will be recycled back to the slurry preparation unit and the remaining will be discharged after suitable treatment. The bio-sludge will be periodically removed from the digester/s, dried and may be used as good organic manure or soil conditioner. The Biogas generated from the anaerobic digester/s will be collected in biogas holder and suitably pressurized. The pressurized biogas will then be used in the canteens / kitchens for cooking or for hot water generation or power generation as the case may be. If the gas will not be used, it would be necessary to flare the same as the Authorities do not permit letting it out into the atmosphere. Thus, this process will be based on a zero garbage disposal concept.
