PROCEDURES: Experience has proven dramatically that planning and practicing for emergency situations can lessen its magnitude when a real emergency occurs. Calm, orderly flow of people leaving the building or seeking shelter within the facility is critical. Thompson and Grace have developed emergency situation plans and posters which are posted clearly at strategic points all over the facility. This SOP deals primarily with evacuating the Building/work area to a safe place in an emergency situation.

ERMP 1.

In an emergency situation the first step is the declaration of emergency by T&G management if time allows. Whenever possible, the Safety Coordinator will call the emergency situation and ensure its immediate communication. If he/she is absent, then the designated person(s) will determine the emergency and communicate the problem as needed
