(1) Day of Fasting and Prayer - July 6 -2013 On Sabbath July 6, we invite our churches to put before the Lord, the state of our country with regards to crime, homosexuality and the devastating economic situation which confronts all of us. We present to the Lord on this day as well all our evangelistic campaigns now in progress and our plans for Jamaica's Big City Evangelism Campaign for the city of Kingston in 2014. Our Big City evangelistic campaign is part of the Seventh-day Adventist World Church Mission to the Cities emphasis on sharing Jesus' love and the hope of His soon return with people in urban settings. It is envisioned that through this initiative more than 650 of the world's largest cities will be reached between 2013 and 2015. We also request special prayer for our children going to the mission field in Costa Rica during the period August 1 - 26, 2013 who will be preaching God's message of love to people at the following locations : Christobal Colon, Santa Eduriges, Hispana, Central, Panaroma, Limoncita, Familia De Dios, Bambu, Pacuare and Tigre. -1-

Pray that the children will be bold in their delivery and that the entire territory be prepared to receive the outpouring of God's Spirit. Pray for the Pastors and leaders too that they will get the vision of God's strategy of Deployment of His children and youth in mission and evangelism. (2) EJCs Health Department's Medical Missionary Training School July 7- August 13, 2013 The Health Ministries Department of East Jamaica Conference presents their annual Medical Missionary Training School under the theme: Service to Christ and Humanity. Join them on Sunday July 7, 2013 at 9:00 am at the V.H. Percy Centre, as they introduce you to new and dynamic ways to maintain your health. (6) Notices from the Youth Ministries Department (a) Summer Camp :- The annual summer camp will be held from August 13-20, 2013 at Robins Bay. Cost has been reduced to $6, 000 (includes a T-Shirt). Groups of five will enjoy a further 5% discount. Each church is being asked to send a delegate.

Youth start planning to be there. Last year was great but this year promises to be greater, more fun, fellowship and spiritual nurture. Summer Camp is for everyone not just members. (7) Request For Applications to join the Singles Convention Choir. Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to join the Singles Convention Choir which will take center stage during the EJC and JAMU endorsed Singles Convention during the period August 23 - 25, 2013. (8) Special Events Happening in some of our Churches For the first time in over twenty years, members of the Washington Gardens Youth Choir during the period 1990 1995 will reunite their voices in song. The Washington Gardens SDA Church invites members and friends to join them on Sabbath July 6, 2013 from 9:15 am to their 'Youth Choir Reunion 1990 - 1995'. I am pleased to advise that between January 2013 to June 2013, the number of unique visitors to our site have virtually doubled. The data confirms that we have had more than one thousand new persons visiting the site every month i.e the numbers are growing with each passing month. We give God the praise. We invite you to continue forwarding this communication to your family and friends and to let others know that they can go to the website to access information which can assist in their spiritual growth. We invite our pastors this week to forward a copy of their best sermon in mp3 format so we can have this posted on the ejcsda.com website so people can listen to the message in their own time. You will never know the impact that could have on someone listening under the guidance of the holy spirit. Please ensure the sound quality is good since this will determine if people will listen to it. To: Pastors, Personal Ministries & Zone Leaders Dear Brethren: Greetings in the name of our forever Friend, Jesus! We want to register our appreciation to the Laity for their faithfulness to the mission of the Church. We also thank the officers of the Lay Evangelistic Association (LEA) for their hard work as they assist in steering the Church in the fulfilment of her mission. According to the Constitution of the LEA, the tenure of the Officers is two (2) years; therefore, the 2010-2013 Officers will end their term of office in July 2013. We are therefore asking the LEA Zone Leaders you to send Five (5) delegates to a Special Meeting to be held at the Oakglades SDA Church on Sabbath, July 6, 2013 at 2:30 pm for the election of new officers for the 2013-2015 period.
