ARMOURY MANAGEMENT GRADUATION


The closing ceremony for the First National Armoury Management Training Course took place at the Police Academy, St. James Barracks on Friday 28th June, 2013 . The United Nations Regional Centre for Peace, Disarmament and Development in Latin America and the Caribbean (UNLIREC), in collaboration with the Government of Trinidad and Tobago spearheaded this project.

EMANCIPATION DAY CELEBRATIONS The celebration of Emancipation Day by the Ministry of National Security seeks to educate members of staff on African culture and the significance of the occasion. As such, we have planned various activities aimed at cultivating appreciation of each others history. African lecture- July 22 African music display July 23 Hair wrapping and hairstyle day- July 24 African make up and jewelry day- July 25 African movie day (lunch hour) - July 26 The Corporate Communications Unit invites all members of staff to visit the Ministry of National Securitys Facebook page and like us. Registration closes on 12th July, 2013. There will be a registration fee of $500.00 per team and teams are to comprise six (6) players. Cash prizes are as follows; 1ST - $4,000.00 2ND - $2,500.00 3RD - $1,500.00

The National Security Officers Foundation (NSOF) in association with the Making Life Important (MLI) Programme hosted a Medical Clinic for National Security Officers at the Chaguaramas Convention Centre on June 25, 2013. This event was hosted with the support of the Ministry of Health, the North-West Regional Health Authority, the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management (ODPM), a team of local Dentists and local pharmaceutical distributors. The Medical Clinic comprised doctors with various specializations and medical practitioners from Missions to the World. The intention of this Medical Clinic was to provide an opportunity for NSOF to show its commitment to the health and well -fare of National Security Officers, in recognition of the significant role that they play in protecting life and property in the normal course of their duties, and the ultimate sacrifice that they make. A total of 240 National Security Officers attended the clinic from among the under mentioned Agencies: Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard Trinidad and Tobago Regiment Defence Force Reserves Trinidad and Tobago Police Service Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service Trinidad and Tobago Cadet Force Municipal Police Services Customs and Excise Division Immigration Division Transit Police Unit Supplemental Police (Public Sector) Supplemental Police (Private Sector) International Police Association (Trinidad and Tobago
