Teacher: Mazuch Blanka School: coala Gimnazial Nr. 25 Timioara Form: IIIrd A Date: May 31st Duration: 50 minutes Level: Beginner Textbook: Set Sail! - Express Publishing Book Unit 7 / Lesson: Were having a great time! Skills: speaking, listening, reading, writing Aims: By the end of the lesson pupils will be able to: identify words in a recorded text; reproduce the words they identified; use the new words and the grammar sequences in sentences of their own; read a given text; act in a given situation using certain grammar sequences. Vocabulary: vocabulary related to activities happening at the moment of speaking, activities which reflect pupils interests and knowledge Grammar: Present Tense Continuous Techniques: conversation, role-playing, exercises, explanation, game, poem Classroom management: frontal, group work, pair work Materials: board, notebooks, pupils books, worksheets, handouts, pictures.

Teacher greets pupils and introduces herself. (Good morning, children! My name is Blanka and I am going to be your English teacher today). Teacher asks questions: (Now that you know my name, I would like to know Your names. Whats your name?) Are you ready for an English lesson? If you are ready, lets begin. Teacher sticks a picture with a clown on the board and asks students: (I have heard that you know a song or poem about a clown. Can you remember it? Lets sing it.) If students do not remember the song, teacher reads it as model and then asks some of the students to read it aloud as well. Teacher praises pupils participation. (Very good, very nice!) Teacher asks the pupils to pay attention to her. (Now, please look at me carefully. What am I doing? She sits down and says I am sitting down. And now? She goes to the door and says Im going to the door. And now? She goes to the window and says Im going to the window. Teacher asks 2-3 pupils to move around the classroom and say what they are doing, repeating the same structure she used. Go to the blackboard! What are you doing? Go to the back of the classroom! What are you doing? Go back to your place! What are you doing?) Pupil expected answers-Im going to the blackboard, Im going to the back of the classroom. Im going back to my place) Teacher posts 5 pictures on the board and 5 sheets of paper at random. Each sheet of paper contains a sentence which matches one of the five pictures. The pupils are asked to come to the board and match the picture with sentence. Pay attention to me! Im posting some2 pictures on the board. Now Im doing the same with some sheets of paper on the right of the board. Who wants to come to board and match the pictures with their description? Ill show you how. Picture
