Fire retardent foam can be used in situations where a joint must conform to fire ratings DIN 4102 GRADE B2 BS476. It is essential to use fischer B2 foam containing fire retardent additives. In addition the foam MUST be protected from direct contact with flames by means of an acrylic sealant from the fischer Fire Barrier range.

Foams and sealants
General purpose applications Indoor construction sealing and finishes Glazing and glass perimeters Wet rooms Sanitary applications Suitable for sanitary applications flexible joints for industrial applications
Description
Single-component, acid curing silicone (Acetoxy) sealant for general purpose use. Combines strong adhesion with maximum flexibility. (Up to 25% movement capability). Fungicidal, ideal for wet rooms, bathrooms, kitches etc. Compensates for any unevenness, preventing surface preparation in advance. Highly stable and permanently flexable. Resistant to ageing and weathering. No risk to health.
Advantages/benefits
Installation tip
Non-porous surfaces should be cleaned with a solvent and a clean, lint free cloth. A preliminary compatibility test is recommended for unusual surfaces. Multi silicone should not be used on substrates such as marble, sandstone, concrete, fibrous cement and mortar as it releases acetic acid during vulcanization. Should not be used on metals such as lead, copper, brass or zinc due to corrosion.
