Mystic Dances arrives in Milan!

In October, the wind will inspire India to Milan with its rhythms, tradi7ons, colors and contemporary sounds .... Goes on stage - 11-12-13 October, within the Yoga Fes7val at Superstudio pi in Via Tortona 27 - the exhibi7on "Mys7c Dances", classical Indian dances, mys7cal, folk and modern. An unmissable event, led by the ar7s7c direc7on of Maya Devi, dancer, yoga teacher, Indian dances and spiritual prac7ce, a researcher of Eastern cultures, a member of the Interna7onal Dance Council CID UNESCO, director of the school MUDRARTE of Milan. Maya Devi is the founder and Ar7s7c Director of Nomad Dance Fest, held in Milan in 2011 and 2012, India in 2012 for the interna7onal edi7on whereas the 3rd EDITION will be held in India in October 2013. An event represen7ng a journey in dance in the roots of humanity along the long journey of the gypsies from India to Spain.

"Our intent is to understand the closeness between Yoga, a very old discipline of India and the equally ancient Indian dance which are both an expression of the human soul

The Indian dance is thousands of years, one of the mothers dances next to the Egyp7an, Chinese and Greek, and is closely linked to the spirit of devo7on. Several classic styles inspired by myths, legends and rituals: the Bharata Natyam, the oldest, the Kathak, Odissi sinuous and sensual, with other folk form of the Kalbelya Rajasthani, Bhangra and the Ghidda, to the whirlwind tourning of the mys7cal and Su dance that leads to trance, reaching the contemporary and sparkling Bollywood dance, whose term comes from a combina7on of Mumbai and Hollywood, this event also honoring the occasion of the centenary of the lm industry of Bollywood. "

Tree intensive days of workshops, performances, shows, classes of all the Indian form of dances from traditional to modern: Bharata Natyam, Odissi, Kathak Folk dances of India: Rajasthani dance, Kalbeliya, Bhangra, Ghidda, Lavani. Mystical & devotional dances & music: SUFI, Qawwali, sacred temple dances, Thumri, Sufi Kathak. BOLLYWOOD DANCE

 Mys7c Dances, a three days event of workshops with dis7nguished guests, interna7onal Masters from India and from all over Italy. In the loca7on of Yoga Fes7val, Superstudio pi Via Tortona 27, you will experience the kaleidoscopic world of indian dances, from classical style , to the sacred and folk dances from Rajasthan and Punjab, to the joy of Bollywood Dance in an unexpected encounter between tradi7on and modernity. The public can discover the many souls of the country closer to the art of Indian dance while you admire the elegance of the costumes and the so^ness of silk, experiencing the charm of indian make-up or Mehndi , learning to wear a saree
