Politics and English graduate, with experience


working in a demanding office environment. I also
have excellent communication skills, developed
during my time in retail and through University. I am
seeking a challenging and rewarding role where I
can make a difference, while also developing my
career prospects.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Organised a highly successful climate change


event in Northampton, attended by over 200
people, during my Westminster internship. This
involved organising the itinerary for the event,
negotiating with film distributors to allow a
screening to take place and arranging catering
amongst other responsibilities.
• Experience assisting at MP surgeries,
communicating with and helping vulnerable
people. This would usually extend to writing
draft letters to relevant organisations in order
get the best results for constituents suffering
through difficult circumstances.
• Experience maintaining databases and
handling sensitive information. Good
understanding of confidentiality and data
protection laws.
• Achieved consistently high grades at
university, obtaining a 2:1 degree,
demonstrating my ability to meet strict
deadlines and handle pressure.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
and motivate colleagues demonstrated
throughout my employment history, as well as
through group presentations at university.
• Exceptional literacy skills, including excellent
spelling and grammar. These skills have been
further developed while at university.
• Excellent numeracy skills developed by retail
and restaurant experience, principally through
the handling of cash.
• Computer literate and fully competent with all
Microsoft Office packages, including Word and
Excel. Also have experience of a variety of
other computer programmes including CMITS,
SAP and CRS Millennium.
• Good understanding of Internet Explorer,
Firefox and email. Basic understanding of
HTML and building websites.
