Dissertation: Investigation of micro-bubble mediated Carbon-dioxide to Methane conversion. Abstract: The project involved fabrication of a micro-fluidic device to produce micro-bubbles having a core of CO2 and a shell of TiO2 aqueous suspension in order to ensure a long residence time and homogeneous absorption of photons across the catalytic material. The results and analyses provide evidence for the formation of hydrocarbons, primarily CH4, at the expense of CO2 in the photocatalytic reaction.
