Business Managers Report A. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve the list of bills for payment. 9. Visitors Comments - Agenda Items Only 10. Recommended Action Items: (Italicized items are new; they were not on the July 8, 2013 agenda.) A. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve the Transportation Contract between Althouse Transportation, Inc. and the Octorara Area School District effective July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2018. B. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve the Addendum to the Master Agreement between Caremark PCS Health and the Delaware County Public Schools Joint Purchasing Board effective July 1, 2013. C. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve the agreement with Sports Care LLC for athletic training services for the 2013-2014 school year (up to 1,000 hours of service at a rate of $31 per hour.) D. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve the extension of the ServiceMaster Agreement through June 30, 2017. (This extension allows for a cost reduction in the original agreement for 2013-2014 and 2014-2015.) E. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve the Lease Purchase Agreement between Apple Inc. and the Octorara Area School District.

F. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve the student activity request for Octorara Protective Services Academy at the Octorara Area Sr. High School. Resignation Approvals: G. That the Octorara Board of School Directors accept the resignation of Ms. Charlotte Bridges as an ESL instructional assistant at the Primary Learning Center effective June 29, 2013. (Hired August 31, 2009) Hiring Approvals: H. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve Mr. Trent Zook as a long term substitute first grade teacher at the Octorara Primary Learning Center for the 2013-2014 school year pending completion of employee related documents required by law and the District. Mr. Zooks salary will be $49,191 which is Step 18 to MAX of the Bachelors Scale. (Replacing Marjory Zajac whose is on Child Rearing and Sabbatical leaves.) I. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve Ms. Jane Delaney as a Special Education teacher in the Extended School Year Program at a rate of $30 per hour.

J. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve Ms. Deb Mattis as a substitute in the Summer Literacy/Math Program at the rate of $22 per hour. K. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve the following list of support staff mentors for the 2012-2013 school year (mentors are paid at their hourly rate for four hours): Shara Townsend Grace Filoromo Deb Mattis Ann Vnucak Stacey Hoopes Connie Rutter L. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve the following supplemental contracts for the 2013-2014 school year: Kaj Miller 7th & 8th Grade Boys Soccer Coach 4 pts @ $600 $2,400 John Tercha Asst Varsity Football Coach 7 pts @ $600 $4,200 M. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve the revisions to Policy 815 Acceptable Use Policy, first reading. N. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve the 2013-2014 iPad Program Handbook for the Octorara Jr./Sr. High School. O. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve Ms. Amanda Friedman as a Spanish and Virtual Academy teacher pending completion of employee related documents required by law and the District. Ms. Friedmans salary will be $49,191 which is Step 18 to MAX of the Bachelors Scale. (Replacing Lois Hopkins who retired.) P. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve Ms. Charlotte Bridges as a substitute teacher in the Summer Literacy/Math Program at a rate of $22 hour.

Q. That the Octorara Board of School Directors accept the resignation of Ms. Ashley Stern as an instructional assistant at the Octorara Elementary School effective July 9, 2013. R. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve Ms. Ashley Stern as a sixth grade teacher at the Octorara Intermediate School pending completion of employee related documents required by law and the District. Ms. Sterns salary will be $49,191 which is Step 18 to MAX of the Bachelors Scale. (Replacing Kerry Kraft who retired.) S. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve Ms. Jessica Hrynkow as a long term substitute fourth grade teacher at the Octorara Elementary School pending completion of employee related documents required by law and the District. Ms. Hrynkows rate will be $140 per day effective August 19, 2013 through November 1, 2013. (Replacing Dana Irons who is child rearing leave.) T. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve an increase from $2.30 to $2.40 (ten cents) in lunch prices for the 2013-2014 school year for grades K-6. 11. Policy Committee Report 12.
