OPERATING ENVIRONMENT

A. Product/Services Rey Home Centre, Sto. Tomas Branch primarily offers ceramic tiles to customers as well as sanitary wares and other allied products. They also offer services related to their products, considering the work performed only as an add-on service, a part to their product tendering. Below is the enumeration of the said products: a. B. Organizational Culture REY Marketing, Inc. was incorporated on April 19, 1977 and started operating in a small store / warehouse in Quezon City, Philippines as a retailer of ceramic tiles specializing in seconds, export overruns and factory close-outs. From its inception, REY Marketing has focused on servicing retail buyers. They have now expanded their product mix to include sanitary wares and other bathroom fixtures, adhesives and other related merchandise. Theye also have extended our product line to include Do-It-Yourself (DIY) itemselectrical, chemical, plumbing, hardware, houseware, other related construction materials, furniture and small appliances. Today, they operate nineteen (19) REY Home Centres in and around the Philippines capital Metro Manila, and other key provinces, such as Rizal, Batangas, Bulacan and Cavite. They are now among the countrys Top 10,000 Corporations and one of the Top 10 distributors of Mariwasa Ceramic tiles. The organization (Rey Home Centre) focuses on leading their employees through developing a good work relationship and at the same time, teaching those work ethics on how to treat their superiors and colleagues as well. They are also taught of having a good customer relationship through practicing their individual negotiating ability. As they also believe that Customers are always right., they are managed to handle things on a positive way and to look forward on more situated circumstance with joyful welcoming. Aside from these, the management also sees to it that they provide the best customer assistance with intelligible and approachable employees. Their products are mainly for end users but they do offer also to contractors and dealers. Other than communicating through a memo, they commonly make use of verbal conveyance.

D. Regulatory The organization is characterized by complete conformity to the standards and requirements of an organization. In order to be competitive, Rey Home starts to exercise their rules first on their premises. They make sure that their employees are in a complete uniform, wearing closed shoes while open toe slippers are prohibited. They also enforce a No Smoking Policy for the employees. The management is also strict with the usage of equipments particularly with the fork lift. Only the person in charge of it can drive it, hit riding on it is strictly prohibited. These all, for the safety of the products and employees themselves, as well as to ensure a good quality of the products before it reaches the hands of the customers. The sodality ensures that they legally abide to business rules and regulations set by the government (e.g SEC, DTI, etc.). Since Rey Home Centre is in a rich ecosystem location, it is one of their concerns to maintain this good environment. Thats why when Sto. Tomas had regulated that there will be no more plastic allowed, without any opposition, abode. They also observe segregation of garbage, and whats more interesting is that this environmental friendly gesture also serves as an addition source of income for the said branch. When asked about their standards, they strive on making their products competitive and sufficient enough to provide customer satisfaction with its consistent excellent quality. As to how to maintain this standard, the management confidently answers that as an organization created with coherence and unity, they make sure to it that each designations perform their job well, especially in the carrying and handling of the products in the warehouse. Segregation of product types is also widely observed in the storehouse. Items in stock also are regularly cleaned and dusted. Simply stated, the management seeks to operate daily in an organized manner, while at the same time, observing discipline and submission.

B. Customer Relationship Rey Home Centre, just like any other enterprise, values their customers for without them they are nothing. As one who offers products, Rey Home aims to create harmonious relationship with their customers and provide them the best service they ever experience. They offer cash discounts to customers; give gift certificate freebies, offers seminars, product demonstration, as well as presentation. To Rey Home Centre, it is of their important concern that their customers will leave their premises carrying the thought of fellowship and good service rendered to them. As they stand that they are the leading brand in ceramic tiles, their brand carry serves as vision and mission to them. They service their customers very well just as how they treat their employees properly. They believe that their service to customers is not just being able to sell their products but is also about vending their work and output though their happiest hearts yielding the best company to their customers.

C. Value Chain Rey Home Centre, Sto. Tomas Branch is more on a retailing business which is why they credit value chain as part of manufacturing responsibility. D. Partner Relationships Rey Home Centre has an allied partner which is the small dealers on whom they are conform in a long term contract. Basically the owner of the company, the shareholder of Mariwasa itself, is their partner that gives them an exclusive edge. On which way their price cannot compete with others.

KEY PERFORMANCE CATEGORIES

A. Customers Rey Home Centre welcomes customers genuinely joyful. They are offering cash discounts to their value customers. They give gift certificate freebies, offers seminars, product demonstration and presentation. More importantly, they tender respect to customers as buyers of their products. B. Services They practice good relationship to their employees. They teach them discipline as well as right conduct. They allow their employees to develop harmonious relationship with each other. They let them figure out things and solve them on their own way so that they can enhance and improve their efficiency and effectiveness as an employee to the company. Though this, employees are able to render the best service to their customers. Rey Home Centre believes that business grows while having competitive employees. C. Financial Rey Home Centre has a program called Grade One Sagot Kita Project. As they render service to their customers, likewise, they do extend it to their society. They believe that children should be doing their best learning about things. Thats why one of their schemes is to donate school supplies to students, especially those on the star section D. External Environment The enterprises comply with business rules and regulations. Way of example is on how they obey to Sto. Tomas No To Plastic project and follows to segregate biodegradable from nonbiodegradable. They also implement rules within their company premises that states no to smoking when inside the ground, no to open toe slippers and lastly, hit riding on forklift is not allowed.
