Physical Therapy Vision Statement The College of Physical Therapy envisions itself to be center of excellence providing quality instructions and effective training that will produce dynamic and competent graduates with commitment to God, country and fellowmen. Mission Statement The College of Physical Therapy aims to develop in its graduate the aptitude of learning, the awareness of the need of their services to the Filipino people and the receptiveness to the changing needs of their profession to the country and the international setting imbued with Christian values.

Course Description: Organization and Administration is a 3 unit subject offered to the fourth year BS Physical Therapy students during the second semester. The course deals with the basic knowledge, principles and concepts of effective management relevant to physical therapy and rehabilitation. It includes discussion on health organization and basic management principles which aims to enable the students to be able to manage and operate physical therapy units/ section in a hospital or community effectively. The course requires independent thought and effort where students are encouraged to share relevant, current materials and experiences regarding course topics with the class. Opportunity to pursue individual interests within this subject area is provided and encouraged in class assignments. The use of technology (blended online) will be utilized to deliver lessons to the students aside from the traditional classroom discussions. Most of the lessons, assignments and discussions of the topics will be done on online. A one hour meeting per week will be scheduled on ground for introducing lessons, discussion and for students to take quizzes or examinations. General Objective: - At the end of the course, the students should be able to discuss basic principles and concepts relevant to the operation of a physical therapy unit in a hospital, community or a private setting. Course Requirements: - Attendance in class is required. The students should attend on ground meetings regularly and should login to the online class at least three times a week. The students should at least get a passing score in the quizzes and examination covered in each grading period and should submit required individual or group projects assigned to them in order to acquire a passing grade. Reading assignments should also be accomplished and reading journals and researches related to the topics is highly encouraged to be able to share and participate in class discussion and activities. The students will be oriented or reminded of the classroom rules and regulations. At the end of the topic the students should be able to : 1. Homework: By group of three, students will conceptualize a Vision and Mission for their planned PT Clinic and Design an Organizational Chart for their PT Clinic.
