Status Screen Controls Up/Down: Change Characters X: Accept O: Cancel /\: Change Page L2/R2: Change Page Encyclopedia Controls Up/Down: Change Characters (List) L2/R2: Change between ABC/Field/Rank/Number (List) X: Confirm Right Analog: Rotate and Zoom Characters (View) /\: Change Page (View) O: Cancel ================= 3.0: Menu (MENU) =================== 3.1: Status (STAT) =================== Here you can view the status of your Digimon team. On the status page of the status menu you will have the name, level, Rank, HP, Field, and EXP of the Digimon. Hitting Triangle will allow you to see the parameters of your Digimon. Hitting R2 will take you to all the commands the Digimon can use in battle. Note that not all the commands may be opened at once. Hitting R2 again will take you to the Ability Screen. This shows special perks the current Digivolution gives. It ranges from Parameter bonuses to raising stats at Level up. Hitting R2 again will show you all the support commands and what they do. ================= 3.2: Items (ITEM) ================= 3.2.1: Healing The healing items restore your Digimon's HP, return you Digimon back from a Digitama, or cure their abnormal status. 3.2.2: Map Map type items are items that can be used on the map. They range from Chips that permanent ally raise a parameter to drinks that change friendship. It also contains items that can change the encounter rate. well as accessories that does a variety of different things.

3.2.3: Battle These are special items that can only be used by using the item command in battle. They cause a wide variety of effects. Mostimportantly they raise the characters parameters for a set number of turns in battle as well as lower the enemy's parameters. They also change the field of your Digimon. They can cause damage or abnormal status effects to the enemy. Mastering the Battle Items will make the fighting a lot easier. 3.2.4: Important Important Items for the most part allow different digivolutions. There are important items that allow access to deeper parts of a certain dungeon and there is one that gives 10% Discount on items. ==========================

3.3: Evolution Map (EVOL) ========================== Here you will see your Digimon's evolution paths as a galaxy. Selecting a Galaxy will take you that specific Digimon's path. Selecting a Digimon from there and hitting R2 a couple of times will show you what you need to unlock it. ========================= 3.4: Encyclopedia (ENPD) ========================= Here you will see a list of all the Digimon you have encounter in battle or have as Digivolutions. You can change the list to have them listed alphabetically, by their field, by their rank, or by their number. =================== 3.5: Option (OPTN) =================== Here you can change the Message Speed and the Sound Setting. =========================== 3.6: Battle Members (BTME) =========================== Here you can change who is in your current party. ====================== 3.7: Load/Save (LDSV) ====================== Here you can Load and Save your game. Note you can only Save when you are at DATS or in the vicinity of a Save Point. ======================= 4.0: Walkthrough (WKTH) ======================= Please note that all the enemies listed here may not appear during the first visit to the area. ========================= 4.1: Walter Island (WLIS) ========================= Enemy Digimon ~DS~ Otamamon Tyromon (BOSS01) ~NSo~ DemiDevimon Impmon Creepymon (BOSS02) ~WG~ Airdramon

From where you start head north east out of the cove. There you operators will teach you how to scenes, head east staying along

and open your first chest. From there head will be attack by Otamamon. Here the DATS battle. After the fight and the following the beach and head up the hill to a Shrine

and open a second chest. You will more thanlikely be attacked by DemiDevimon and Impmon along the way. Use these fights to gain some much needed experience. Head game will find your back down the hill and north to the Save Point. Save the if you wish. When you are done head southwest a little ways and you another chest. Go back to the save point. If you are comfortable with level head on in.

When you head in, you will view more scenes and then fight:

/BOSS 01 - Tyromon/ First thing, Tyromon will probably be faster than your Agumon and attack first. Don't worry about the damage he does, because when your turn comes you can Digisoul Charge and Digivolve in GeoGreymon. Digisoul Charge completely heals the Digimon. Now it is just a matter of defeating him. It is a straightforward battle. Use any HP Charges you picked up along the way if you need to. After the fight the sky will get dark and you will be attacked by:

/BOSS 02 - Creepymon/ This is a fight you can't win. After that fight Marcus and Agumon will be throw back. Marcus looses his Digivice. Creepymon takes a look at it and screams and runs off. Yoshino shows up and takes you back to DATS. After Marcus has a few choice words to say about Creepymon. /DATS Headquarters/ Commander Sampson will be giving a lecture. promptly gets scolded by Commander Sampson. Marcus a question he doesn't know. Then ask He proceeds to give you the next mission and to assist Thomas who is already there. Once words to say on the subject. Now you have four Select is how you DATS. Going back to where you fought Tyromon you will see a chest. You may also notice that a new Digimon called Airdramon has taken up residence here. It's a WG and a champion, so take advantage of it.

========================== 4.2: Sneyato Forest (SNFT) ========================== Enemy Digimon ~VB~ Patamon ~JT~ Palmon Woodmon Yanmamon ~NSp~ Gabumon Garurumon Leomon ~NSo~ Bakemon (BOSS03) Myotismon (BOSS04) As soon as you enter you will see a scene where Yoshino has Lalamon realize. Marcus says he does not need Thomas' help and runs off. Yoshino says her catchphrase, This is the worst. Now when you are back in control head north to see the save point and a [Purple Barrier]. There is a chest above the save point that is a little hidden behind trees. Another chest is below it. There is a third chest to the south of this one. You have to walk around some plants to get to it. From that chest head straight across and into another area. Here is the crazy stalker puppy called Salamon. She is collecting Digitama from you. Digitama are the eggs you get for defeating enemy Digimon. She gives you prizes after you bring her so many. Besides giving her eggs, she will tell you important facts about the team. Like how many steps you've taken or how many chests you have opened. When you are done playing with Salamon exit and take the path just to the north of where you left. You will see a [Red Barrier] to the south. Ignore that for nowand head to the north and touch the red sphere. That will open the [Red Barrier] exposing the treasure for the taking. After you loot the treasure head out the north exit. Here you will see Kamemon Tamer Yushima standing in front of another opened [Red Barrier]. Go inside and touch the red sphere. That'll open the [Purple Barrier], but now you are trapped. Touch the blue sphere to open the [Blue Barrier], but close the [Purple Barrier]. Exit out the back and loot the three treasure chests near it. Now circle around to the first red sphere and activate it. That'll open the [Purple Gate] but close all the others. That's okay cause you don't need in there anymore. Go back to the save point and save the game. Go through the [Purple Gate] and view Thomas confronting a Bakemon. He says he can handle it himself, but Yoshino says they are suppose to work together.

/BOSS 03 Bakemon/ This fight is not all that difficult, since you have a third member now. After the fight Marcus starts boasting. into Myotismon. It was too soon as Bakemon evolves

/BOSS 04 Myotismon/ This fight is more difficult then what you've had to deal with. But a mysterious voice tells you how to beat him though. Use a VB Enhance on your strongest fighter. And you know what, since he digivolved why don't we? When Gaomon's turn comes Digisoul charge him into GaoGamon. Again,if you need to use any HP Charge or have Lalamon Heal if your HP gets to low. /DATS Headquarters/ Back at DATS you meet the mysterious stranger, Tsukasa Kagura. He and Thomas go way back. Also Kagura's sister is missing and believes ithas something to do with four other missing children and the digital world. They detect a huge data signiture and track it to Rage Cavern. There is no new treasure in Sneyato Forest, but stronger Digimon have made residence there. It's up to you to go back or not. When ever youare done shopping and/or training head to the new location. ======================== 4.3: Rage Cavern (RGCN) ======================== Enemy Digimon ~ME~ Gotsumon Numemon ~NSp~ Gabumon Gabumon (Black) ~NSo~ Chuumon Belphemon (BOSS05) ~DS~ Kamemon (OPTIONAL) After some scenes telling how Digivolution may act strange, go left and enter down to the first door fora chest. Leave and go left and followthe door to the north. Keep going north for another door and another chest. Exit and follow the path east and south for a teleporter. We are going to ignore the teleporter for now. At the divergence go east and follow through to another door. Go south and east for another chest past a door. Exit and go back to the teleporter and enter it.

On the second floor go straight for a chest. Go back and go north for a scene. After the scene continue north and exit the cave. Following the path you will run into Old Man Yushima again. You might want to avoid talking with him at this point. He wants you to fight his Kamemon and you will most likely lose at the point in the game. Continue up the path for a chest. Keep going east and enter another cave. The middle door is the only one with treasure. There is also a chest at the very end of the path. Go back to where you saw the scene. This time head east through the door and go north on the path. Follow the path to a door with another chest inside. Exit and follow the path south and exit the cave. Go north and save and heal up at the save point. Keep going North and prepare to fight: /BOSS 05 Belphemon/ I don't know why it is you can fight a Belphemon at this point, yet still keep getting killed by the turtle who serves tea to the PawnChessmon. That being said, this fight is still a lot more difficult than the last one. I recommend having Lalamon use a VB Enhance on Agumon and have Gaomon enhance his speed. Use Agumon's strongest attack and heal until he falls. With the fight finished a little boy pops out of Belphemon's data. He's having a really lazy dream. Made me a little tired. The little boy is also carrying the [Code Key of Sloth]. Just then it gets stolen by a Biyomon who is partners with a Private Investigator who appears to have ahistory with Yoshino. His name is Kosaburo Katsura and he throws down a smoke bomb and escapes. As soon as he disapears Kagura prepares forevac. Then you see Creepymon standing at the door to the dark area and being approached by a mysterious stranger. /DATS Headquarters/ A flashback sequence tells the story of Nitta, who left DATS after injuring a human with his Digimon partner. Yoshino reveals more about Kosaburo. Another huge data signal is found and tracked to next area. Commander Samspon issues Keenan Crier to come with you on the mission. Back in control, there are two treasure chests behind where Belphemon use to. And again, stronger Digimon have made residence there. ========================== 4.4: Mirage Museum (MRMS) ========================== Enemy Digimon: ~ME~ Gotsumon Solarmon

Monzaemon ~NSo~ Candlemon Pumpmon Barbamon (BOSS06) /Floor 1/ After veiwing some scenes walk foward, up the oragami floor and take note of the green wall to the right. Continue foward through the teleporter. /Floor 2/ Skip the first door. Go through the second door and activate the green device in the middle to open the green wall. Go through the last door for a chest. /Floor 1/ Go back to the first floor and walk through the newly opened green door. Follow the path and skip the door on the right. Follow it all the way to the end for another chest. Go back and enter the nearby teleporter. /Floor 2/ At the fourway intersection go right to view a scene of an unknown island. Follow the path and go up another oragami floor. Go past the Blue Wall and go south for two chests. Onecontains an [Important Item]. Exit and go right. Examine the device to open the blue walls and close the green walls. Exit and go through the blue wall. Save the game and enter the door. Prepare to fight: /BOSS 06 - Barbamon/ It's not too much of increase in difficulty from Belphemon. Enhance on your strongest character and heal when needed. Use a VB

After the fight is over, another of the missing children pop out. And has you may have guessed, he's very greedy. Marcus becomes annoyed just by listening to the kid. After the [Cardkey of Greed] is obtained it gets stolen by Kagura again. /DATS Headquarters/ Back at DATS they analyze the message. It turns out to be a SOS Message from Renamon. You see another flashback of Yuma being called "Monster Girl" by the little kids. Before heading off to Livilus Island, head back to Mirage Museum for more treasure in Barbamon's room. =========================== 4.5: Livilus Island (LVIS) =========================== Enemy Digimon: ~DR~

Agumon (Black) Guilmon Greymon Growlmon ~ME~ Darkdramon (OPTIONAL) ~NSo~ BlackGrowlmon Lilithmon (BOSS07) ~NSp~ Garurumon (Black) ~WG~ Tucanmon Aquillamon Birdramon (BOSS08) Welcome to Livilus Island. The smallest map on the game. Also one of the best places to hunt DR Digimon. Breathe a sigh of releif because now you can finally get RiseGreymon and/or Candlemon. This is also a decent place for WG Digimon. When you first arrive follow the path until you see a scene with Renamon. She collapses and says Lilithmon was too strong to take on herself. When the scene is finishes you'll see a barrier with chest behind it, as well as root you can climb up. Go through the nearby door and enter Red/Blue/Green on the block puzzles. When you exit go right and south to see Pandamon staring off into space. He is decent Digimon and he's selling better stuff than what they have at DATS. When you are done shopping head through the newly opened barrier and open the chest. Head back and climb up the near by root. Save at the save point and head up the stairs. After viewing another scene prepare to fight: /BOSS 07 - Lilithmon/ This is the easiest of the Demon Lord fights. I had two ultimates by this point. You most likely do not have to use a VB Enhance during the fight. You may have to heal, but over all it is an easy fight. After the fight view witness to more scenes, this time as Yuma pops out. The reunion with Renamon is interupted by Kasaboru. This time Gaomon goes all Pow! Right in the kisser! To Biyomon. A little annoyed Kagura digivolves Biyomon and plans to take the [Cardkey of Lust] by force. Renamon uses her energy to heal you. /BOSS 08 - Birdramon/

This is only a champion digimon and is not all that difficult either. With Kagura defeated and Yuma rescued you head back to DATS HQ. /DATS Headquarters/ Back at DATS Yuma is promised that they will take care of Renamon. They give the [Cardkey of Lust] to Kagura. Another Mao Digimon signiture as been read in Digital Dungeon. Before you head off, you see another scene with Kagura talking to a mysterious person. Giving him the [Cardkey of Sloth] and the [Cardkey of Greed] the relationship between those two or ended. He his attacked by Creepymon. ============================ 4.6: Digital Dungeon (DGDN) ============================ Enemy Digimon: ~ME~ Haguramon Solarmon Numemon Petranamon Starmon GoldNumemon ~NSo~ Tsukaimon BlackGatomon Beelzemon (BOSS09) ~NSp~ Psychemon /Basement 1/ From where you start follow the path all the way to the end for a chest. Go back and enter the door on the right. Keep going through the room. Follow the path to the left all the way to the end and enter the door and grab the chest. Go back and take the path leading up. Skip both of the doors and follow the path to the end for a chest. Go back and enter the closest door. Enter the teleporter. /Basement 2/ Take the left path to the bottom and enter the door for a chest. Leave and head right and up. Go to the path leading right. Keep following the path to the next room. Skip past the door and open the chest in corner. Follow the path and head right to the teleporter. /Basement 3/ Go through the door and activate the [Green Switch] in the back. The puzzle is the same as in [Mirage Museum]. Opening the Green Door closes the Blue Doors. Go through the newly opened doors and save if you wish. Continue into the next room. Take the path going up and enter the door for two chests and Yushima. Continue to the left and activate the [Blue Switch]. Go back

and continue following the path. Go through the door and do NOT activate the [Green Switch]. Skip it and go get the chest in the back room. Leave the room and take the right path heading up. Grab the chest on the right and continue going north. This time I really recomend saving the game. The upcoming boss is kind of hard. Follow the path and veiw some scenes. Get ready to fight: /BOSS 09 - Beelzemon/ Yay it's Beelzemon, the anti-hero of Tamers. Like I said, he's the hardest of the storyline bosses you've faced so far. If you're using a VB Digimon like AngeWomon, protect her. Beelzemon has a lot of strength and speed to boot. Throw VB Enchant on your strongest character(s) as well as NSo Resist on any VB Digimon you are using. When Beelzemon finally falls another kids pops out. He's carrying the [Cardkey of Gluttony] and he was having the best dream ever. He wakes up and tries to eat Agumon. The group has a nice long discussion while Agumon is chased the hungry little boy. After more chatting they head back to DATS. /DATS Headquarters/ They hand over the [Cardkey of Gluttony] to Kagura. Another Mao Digimon Signiture has been detected. And as always stronger Digimon has taken up residence in Digital Dungeon as well as two unopened chest in Beelzemon's room. ==================================== 4.7: Sea Precipice Jerapilus (SPJP) ==================================== Enemy Digimon: ~DR~ Greymon (Blue) ~DS~ Otamamon Otamamon (Red) Tyromon MegaSeadramon Whamon ~ME~ Mambomon Petranamon ~NSo~ Goburimon Shamamon Leviamon (BOSS10) DemiDevimon x2 (BOSS11) Devimon x2 (BOSS11) /Floor 1/ If this looks familar to you were paying attention. If not, this is where Creepymon attacked Kagura. Now from where you start take the first left and grab a chest. Go back and up the red path. Follow it and activate the red switch. Go back down the newly moved red path. Go up the elevator. /Floor 2/

Follow the path and deactivate the red switch. Go back to the moved red path and go down for a chest. Go back and head up the red path. Follow and you'll see old man Yushima. Activate the Blue Switch to the top and grab the chest to the left. Go down the newly activated blue path. Follow it to a save point and elevator. /Floor 3/ It gets kind of confusing, so pay close attention. Head left and skip the red switch for now. At the entersection head right for a chest and go down the red path. Once again skip the blue switch and head right for a chest and an elevator. /Floor 4/ Grab the two chests on the left and right. Go back down the elevator.

/Floor 3/ Go back to the Blue Switch and leave it alone. Head left for a chest and follow the path back to the red switch and activate it. Keep heading left, going back to the elevator. /Floor 2/ Head back to Old Man Yushima and take the lower right path. Follow it to the activated Red Path. There is a chest on both the upper and right platforms. Head back to the elevator. /Floor 3/ Head back to the blue switch and deactivate it. Head back to the elevator. The deactivated blue path creates a shortcut for you to use. /Floor 2/ I recommend saving this time. Continue up the path and head up the new blue path. Grab the nearby chest and head up the elevator. /Floor 3/ Follow the path and activate the Blue Switch. elevator. Head back left and up

/Floor 4/ Take the left path for a chest and take the right path for another chest. Head back down. /Floor 3/ Back at the blue switch head down for another chest. right and up that elevator. /Floor 4/ Heal and save at this point. Head north to fight: Head back and go

/BOSS 10 - Leviamon/ Not nearly as strong or fast as Beelzemon. But he does excel in resistence, so prepare for a long fight. Throw VB Enchant on your strongest Digimon(s),

as well as Attack Up H to speed things along. Throw any items that lower resistance aswell. Not being too strong or fast this fight isn't all that difficult, it can just be a little long. After the fight the last of the missing children pop out. She's carrying the [Cardkey of Envy]. Envy is a very hard emotion to over come and that's why Leviamon had so much resistance apparently. Then Kosabaru shows up and congradulates you on a job well done. However, then Kagura shows up. After some scenes it becomes apparent that Kosaboru is the mastermind. With the cardkeys in his hands he will awaken the Cho Moa Digimon. He uses the evil digimon to attack you. /BOSS 11 - 2x DemiDevimon and 2x Devimon/ This fight isn't tough at all. It's barely a step above the random encounters you faced to get here. They are NSo Digimon, so if you want added security use VB Enchant. After more scenes and some earthquakes you a sent straight too: ================================= 4.8: Doomsday Forest Ruin (DMFR) ================================= Enemy Digimon: ~JT~ Butterflymon Stingmon ~ME~ Kokuwamon Etemon ~NSp~ Moosemon ShimaUnimon WereGarurumon ~VB~ Pegasusmon After more scenes and commenting on how the forest looks you are back in control. On a personal note it reminds me of .Hack and on another personal note watch out for Etemon. His battle music will make your ears bleed. Okay, from where you start head right and cross the bridge for a chest. Head back and go up across another bridge and head left. Follow the path for a chest. Take note of the deactivated teleporter. Head back and go up. Follow the path to the right and enter a cave for a chest. Head out of the cave and go back and head right. Go up the rock path and follow it. Go right for a chest. Turn around follow the path left and travel down the cliff. Go through the teleporter to activate it. Go through it again to be at the bottom of the cliff. This time jump on the log and get off at the second stop for two chests. Jump back on the log and get off at the bridge. Go through the teleporter again. Jump on the log and get off at the first stop. Talk to old man Yushima and get the chest in the back. Activate the sign to

change to river flow. Get back on the log and get off at the water fall for a chest. Get back on the log and follow it to the next bridge. Go right for a chest. Go back left for another sign that changes the river flow back. Go north and head left at the save point for another chest. Heal and save here. Head up the path and prepare to fight: =================== BOSS 11 - Creepymon =================== Marcus finally gets his round 2 with this guy. After fighting super strong Beelzemon and super resisten Leviamon, this guy isn't so tough. It's still a good idea to throw VB Enchant on your strongest Digimon, as he's not cake walk either. After you defeat him. No kid pops and there's another earthquake. opens and he escapes to the real world. A gate

/DATS Headquarters/ The evil Digimon attack! They are quickly taken care of by Renamon though. And don't worry about Miki or Megumi they were safely hiding. However and more importantly, he'll challange Marcus to a fight. =============== 5.1.1: Kamemon =============== Location: Rage Cavern 2FL Requirement: None Kamemon is difficult fight when it first becomes open and even after Biyomon joins the team it is still a difficult fight. However, like all fights in the game, it can be simplified by use of items. Kamemon is a DS Digimon. To make the fight simpler, use WG Enhance on your strongest member. If Kamemon is dealing too much damage use DS Resist and lower his speed. For a turtle he is pretty agile. ================== 5.1.2: Gawappamon ================== Location: Sea Precipice Jerapilus 2FL Requirement: Beaten Kamemon Like Old Man Yushima told you. However, Gawappamon is stronger than Kamemon.

that's mostly all that has changed. It is still a Kamemon with improved stats. Same strategy applies that you used to beat Kamemon, but with a stronger team. So, unless you put this off til the end game, do not rush here straight from the Kamemon fight. ===================== 5.2.3: MarineAngemon ===================== Location: Doomsday Forest Ruin Requirement: Beaten Creepymon (1st), Fishing String Not really for the Kamemon line, but it is triggered by Old Man Yushima. When you first get there he's looking for fishing string. Head back to DATS and talk to Commander Sampson. He goes off an a tangent about the environment. It's pretty entertaining. Take the string back to Old Man Yushima. He goes fishing and Marcus' ADD kicks in. After some scenes you start a fight with MarineAngemon. This fight is easier than Gawappamon. She is a DS Digimon and a DS Resist is good and throw a WG Enchant on your strongest Digimon. She's still tougher than a normal boss. ======================= 5.2: Darkdramon (DRKD) ======================= Location: Livilus Island Requirement: Input Red/Yellow/Green at Block Puzzle This fight is the most difficult one yet. He is a Metal Empire so correct your strategy. I highly recommend you wait until have some Megas so you can survive his assalts if you're feeling lucky you could always throw a ME Resist. Use JT Enchant to attack his weakness. ========================= 5.3: BantyoLeomon (BLEO) ========================= Location: Doomsday Forest Ruin Requirement: Beaten Creepymon (1st) BantyLeomon is a tougher than Darkdramon and therefore the hardest fight yet. But he can be taken out with a good strategy. He's a NSp and can be taken out by a DR Digimon. ==================================================================== A) Tips & FAQ: ==================================================================== 1. About Digivolution (evol) ------------------------------ How it works - The way the digivolution system work in this game is that after fulfilling certain requirements (check your evolution chart), your digimon can digivolve into a new/stronger digimon. - How to digivolve - The digivolution can only happen during the battle. A new command called "Digisoul Charge" will appear after all the requirements are fulfilled, so you just have to select that command. - Why digivolve - It is recommended to select this whenever it is available as sometimes you can digivolve into many new digimons consecutively (like a chain reaction) and gain stronger version of the digimon after all the requirements for those digimon were already met (normally in terms of stats such as strength, agility, etc). For example, my Lalamon digivolve more than 10 times in a row without even noticing that I've met many requirements simultaneously). Another thing to note is that your health is also automatically replenished. - Why digivolve earlier - It is also important to digivolve as quickly as possible in order to get the Mega digimon that you want as the emotion requirement such as "very good friend with tamer" is much harder to fulfill the longer you played the game. In my case, even after reaching the last area and using all my money to buy friendship drink (around 8-10 drinks), I still cannot digivolve my Machgaogamon to Miragegaogamon because of the bad relationship I had with my Gaomon although I've already fulfilled the other requirements long time ago. So hope you will not do the same mistake. So always make sure that you always select the command your digimon wants to use the most if you want to maintain a very good relationship with your digimon. You can also last longer in the game

with stronger evolved form although at a low level. - Non-suitable time to digivolve - There is also a case where your digimon will digivolve into weaker digimon, so always keep track of your digimon evolution chart so that it will not happen during a boss fight. - Note on Marcus's agumon digivolution - Another important note is that for Marcus, he will attack the enemy first before digivolving his Agumon. So better make sure you find a higher level enemy that can withstand his attack to complete the digivolution as the evolution will not happen if the enemy died first from his attack. - What to do with the digivolved form - After you have all the new evolution, you can choose which form of evolution you want to use during the battle by selecting it in the evolution map. - Time to use weaker form - There are times that you want to use the weaker form of your digimon. For example reduce 2 of your digimon to the version with low agility in order to make the one you want to level up get his turn quicker; or to fulfill the requirement of receiving certain amount of damage (50,000 damage for some megas digivolution requirement). ==================================================================== 2. Fighting/winning strategy ((figh) -----------------------------------Same as other strategy game, there is always a standard method of winning a fight even at low level. The one that I use for this game normally consists of finding out the enemy's weakness, increasing your defense, increase your attack power and attack the weakness. In this game, normally I can defeat a boss at low level just with a single attack after a couple of turns using the same strategy. Based on the digimon that I normally use, which is Miragegaogamon (Gaomon's Mega), Shinegreymon (Agumon's mega), Rosemon (Lalamon's mega), the command/item that I normally use especially against bosses(not in particular order) are: a) G Agility Up (Increase agility) - Your digimon will have his turn quicker. Useful for digimon with low agility. Normally I use my Miragegaogamon to cast it on Rosemon or Shinegreymon first, and lastly on himself since he is the quickest and the other 2 is much slower than him. Most bosses have high agility, which means that they can kill you without having the chance to cast any spell. That's why for me this is quite important. b) Resist Mega/Ultimate/Champion -Increase defense. Useful against bosses and Mega digimon that deals huge/lethal damage. Normally I use my Rosemon to cast it on herself or Miragegaogamon first, and lastly on Shinegreymon who got the highest defense. c) Search weakness - Display the enemy's weakness. Normally I use Miragegaogamon's command or using Rosemon to use the item Search Weakness, whichever necessary. d) Field Enchant eg. Use VB Enchant when fighting against NSo after finding out the weakness - Increase your digimon's attack damage based on the enemy's race/weakness. Normally I use the command on my strongest attacker, which is Shinegreymon, or the one that you want to deliver the finishing blow.

e) Attack weakness - Enchant this on your attacker, and the attack damage will double based. But make sure you have cast the right field enchant first. Normally I use it on my Shinegreymon after casting the Field Enchant. f) Attack x 2 - Cast on your attacker to double your attack power. g) Rank Drive command eg. Mega drive - Increase attack based on your digimon's rank. Cast on your attacker to increase damage. Normally I use it on my Shinegreymon to boost damage. After casting Field Enchant, Attack Weakness, Attack x 2 and Rank drive, this could increase your attack power up to 4-6 times and most of the time kills the boss with just a single attack. Coupled with Field Drive and Critical Up, your attacker can definitely deliver lethal damage. h) Critical up (optional) - cast on your attacker to increase chance of inflicting critical attack i) Field Drive eg. DR Drive (optional) - Further increase your attacker's attack power based on your digimon's race/type j) Double attack (optional) - cast on your attacker so that he'll attack twice consecutively k) Invisible (optional) - With this item, the enemy will not attack you for a few rounds. Useful especially during bosses fights. You can cast it on your healer/supporter or your main attacker. If you cast it on your healer, then he can revive the others who died and if you cast it on your attacker than the fight could have a higher rate of success. However, the cons of this item is that the enemy will not attack you, which means that it'll be tougher for you to get the higher level Mega digivolution that have the specific requirement of receiving a certain amount of damage (for example, one of the requirement for Lalamon to digivolve to Lucemon is to receive 50,000 damage, which is a lot). At higher level it'll be tougher for you to receive large damage, so that's why in the end I just use this item once while fighting Darkdramon with my digimon at level 31. I just cast it on my Lalamon (with a Rosemon mega digivolution) and let my Agumon (with a Shinegreymon mega digivolution) do the attacking, and it makes the fight much easier even at low level. l) Field resist eg. NSO Resist - cast it on your digimon if you think that they cannot handle the damage deal by the enemy. Personally I don't use this one because I want the enemy to deal huge damage in order to fulfill the receiving damage requirement. m) Heal/Revive command or item - Whenever necessary ==================================================================== 3. Useful map items (item) --------------------------a) Low encounter - Useful if you are the type who prefer less fighting. Also extremely useful in annoying or large places with a few save points, for example the Sea Precipice Jerapilus. b) No encounter - Buy it from Chuumon at area 10, Ice Labyrinth. The item is also available at the headquarter after you have met Chuumon. c) Friend/Affection drink - Increase relationship with your digimon.

Useful for your digivolution requirement. However it is quite expensive and you might have to spend your whole money to buy it if you have a bad relationship with your digimon, like I did. Buy it from Chuumon in Ice Labyrinth. But it is only available after you keep on spending money at his shop. d) Return key something else; return to DATS. to the starting if you are in a hurry to save the game and do and cannot find a save point, just use this item to Also for those who are lazy to walk all the way back point, especially for large places.

==================================================================== 4. About the selection of command that appear on the screen (sele) -----------------------------------------------------------------A thing to note is that, the number and the type of command on display also depends on the Digimon's emotion (eg. tense, strong, caring, anger). So it is important for you to alter its emotion to get the right command that you need during battles. This can be done by selecting support command (eg. Push, Look Around, Tighten)until you get the desired command. Normally a tense character will have a majority of attack command, a caring character with majority of guard command, and strong character with a balance set of command. Sometimes, really tense character can also display really powerful attack, for example Geogreysword for Shinegreymon. ==================================================================== 5. How to switch command and increase the number of command that appear on the screen while maintaining good relationship with your digimon (swit) ------------------------------------------------------------------In order to maintain good relationship with your digimon, you have to select the command that the digimon wants to use the most, which is equivalent to how many times those command appear on your screen. If you want to switch from attack command to guard command, you have to make sure that more guard command appear on the screen first in order to maintain the good relationship. This can be done by using support command like cheer up, tighten, push, look around, etc. So you just have to play around with support command in order to get the right set of command for you. For example, for Lalamon, normally I will increase its sympathy (Look around/Look closely) to increase the number of its guard command (yellow coloured)or increase its tension (Tighten) to increase the number of its attack command (red coloured). The same strategy also work with Agumon and Gaomon sometimes. ==================================================================== 6. Fulfilling digivolution requirement (fulf) ==================================================================== 6a. Fulfilling dealing damage requirement (deal) -----------------------------------------------An example of this digivolution requirement is for Agumon to deal 1000 damage in a single attack in order to digivolve to Risegreymon. If you want to inflict huge damage on enemy in a single attack and fulfil the requirement, you can follow these steps: 1. Make sure you are at high level and strong form of digivolution and then go find weak enemy (in area 1, Walter Island or area 2, Sneyato Forest) 2. Cast Agility Up on your attacker if you have to.

3. Cast Search Weakness on the enemy to find its weakness (you can skip this if you already know its weakness) 4. Cast field enhant (eg. VB enchant)on your digimon based on enemy's weakness 5. Cast Attack Weakness 6. Cast rank drive based on your digimon's level (eg. Mega Drive) 7. Cast field drive based on your digimon's type (eg. DR Drive), 8. Cast Attack x2 9. Cast Critical Up This should deal very huge damage especially if it is a critical attack. ==================================================================== 6b. Fulfilling receiving damage requirement (rece) -------------------------------------------------An example of this requirement is for Lalamon to receive a total of 50,000 damage throughout the game in order to digivolve to Lucemon. As the game progress, your character will become stronger and normally receive less damage, especially at higher level with strong forms of digivolution. That is why this requirement can be quite annoying sometimes, especially at a later stage. There are a few ways to do this: 1. Earlier in the game, when you are at low level and still in the weak form like a Rookie or Champion, just prolong the fight and let your enemy kick your ass for a couple of turn. The effect is even better if you are fighting a boss. 2. When you are fighting bosses or Mega level digimon, besides prolonging the fight, you can also lower down your agiliy in order for the enemy to attack more frequently. Just be careful no to die or it will be game over. 3. If you are already at a high level, just switch to a Rookie or Champion form to lower your stats. You can also use items that decrease your defense. 4. If you want your enemy just to attack a single digimon, just use the Provoke command or Consent item. ==================================================================== 6c. Fulfilling the defeating digimon requirement (kill) ------------------------------------------------------The requirement is normally specific to the digimon, not on the team. For example, if the digivolve requirement for Agumon is to defeat 5 VB digimon or 5 ultimate, if he kills a VB or an ultimate by delivering the finishing blow, then its already count as one digimon down. But if Gaomon who is in the team that delivered the finishing blow, then it count as one digimon defeated by Gaomon, not by Agumon or the whole team. The exception for the requirement is only when you are required to defeat the optional bosses. For example, for Lalamon to digivolve to Minervamon, the requirement is to defeat Minervamon. So even if anyone else besides Lalamon delivered the finishing blow, the requirement for Lalamon is still fulfilled. =================================================================== 6d. Fulfilling defeating Mega's requirement (mega) -------------------------------------------------An example of this requirement is to defeat 40 Mega digimon in order to digivolve from Agumon to Omnimon. Megas are quite rare in the game and that is why this requirement can be quite annoying to some players (like me). So you have to plan properly which digimon that you want to digivolve to Mega first earlier in the game if you are a lazy type of gamer.

My recommendation is either one of these: - Gaomon (Defeat 5 Megas to get Miragegaogamon) - Falcomon (Defeat 3 Megas to get Ravemon) - Biyomon (Defeat 5 Megas to get Phoenixmon) If you count all the bosses fights in the storyline before area 11 (Dark Area) that involve Megas, this will give you a total of 7 Megas (Belphemon, Barbamon, Lilithmon, Beelzemon, Leviamon, Creepymon x 2). In the Dark area, you will encounter 4 Megas that act as the orb guardian (Ghoulmon, Moon-Milleniummon, Blackwargreymon, ChaosGallantmon). After you have saved at the last point beyond the yellow door in area 11, Dark Area, you can fight some of the storyline bosses again which gives you an additional 4 Megas (Belphemon, Barbamon, Beelzemon, Leviamon). If you count the optional bosses, you can also have up to 12 additional Megas to defeat (Darkdramon, Bantyoleomon, Neptunemon, Minervamon, Mercurimon, MarineAngemon, Jumbogamemon x 2, Sleipmon, Omnimon, Chaosmon, Wargreymon X). So in total this will just give you a total of 27 Megas. So if you are a heavy gamer and want to have all the digivolution for your digimon, you can find other wild Megas at these places: - Platinumnumemon can be found at the 3rd & 4th floor in the Dark Area if you go through the Blue Room. - Metalgarurumon can be found on the 4th floor of the Dark Area if you go through the Red Room. It is basically the area where you have to fight Blackwargreymon & Chaosgallantmon to get the yellow orb. - MarineAngemon is available in the 2nd part of the Ice Labyrinth after you have defeated Lucemon for the second time. An elevator will appear which will lead you to a place where you can fight all the remaining optional bosses. - Blackghoulmon - I don't quite remember but he's most probably around at either Dark Area or 2nd part of Ice Labyrinth. ==================================================================== 6e. Fulfilling Tamer-Digimon relationship requirement (rela) -----------------------------------------------------------Can be quite annoying depending on the command that you select during the fights. In order to maintain good relationship with your digimon, you have to select the command that the digimon wants to use the most, which is equivalent to how many times those command appear on your screen. And to fulfil the bad relationship requirement, just keep on selecting the command that is least appear on the screen. In my opinion, just make sure that your digimon digivolve to other digimon that require good friendship first, and only then abuse the relationship because it is much easier to build bad relationship then a good one. That is why it is important to learn how to switch command and make it appear more on the screen first before selecting the command that you want to use. ==================================================================== 6f. Fulfilling opening chests requirement (ches) -----------------------------------------------Chests are scattered throughout the whole area as you progress more into the game. However if you want to fulfill your digimon digivolution requirement of opening a certain amount of chests much earlier, you can go back to the place where you fought the bosses previously. Normally there will be at least 2 chests at those places at a time. Of if you want to wait later, you can go back and open the chests after defeating the bosses for the second time (after

saving at the last save point beyond the yellow door in Area 11, Dark area) ==================================================================== 7. About storyline Bosses (sbos) -------------------------------All of the storyline bosses are NSo,which means that their weakness is VB (except for 1st boss in Walter Island, Tyromon who is a DS). All of them are also Mega, except for Lucemon (Ultimate). This will also give you an idea of how to plan your digivolution since some digimon required a minimal requirement of defeating megas in order to digivolve to Mega rank, for example Gaomon to Miragegaogamon (defeat 5 Megas) and Falcomon to Ravemon (defeat 5 Megas). So let the digimon you want to digivolve to deliver the finishing blow if you want to have a few Mega digimon at an early stage in the game. ==================================================================== 8. Optional bosses/fights (Credits to Vangui) (obos) ---------------------------------------------------With an exception to Kamemon quest (since I wrote a separate write up on this), these are the optional bosses that you can find in the game: - Darkdramon - Area 5, Livilus Island - You can fight him after clearing area 5, Livilus Island. Come back to the island after defeating Lilithmon, input this colour at the box puzzle: Red, Yellow, Green. A teleporter will appear to the south. Be careful because he can be quite tough in the earlier part of the game, especially if you are at low level. I died the first time I fought him at level 18+ with 3 ultimates just because I want to see how strong he is. His weakness is JT. - Bantyoleomon - Area 8, Doomsday Forest - After finishing area 8, Doomsday Forest, come back here and go the place where you fought Creepymon earlier and you can find Bantyoleomon. Besides being strong, somebody also wrote on the Board that he can remove opponents from the battle stage, although it didn't happen to me, so just be careful. His weakness is DR. - Omnimon - 4th Floor, area 11, Dark Area - This should be done after you have unlock the door (on the left) which was locked earlier on the 3rd floor of Blue Room. You can unlock the door by coming through it from the door on the 3rd floor of the Red Room. (You'll do this step in order to get the yellow jewel. So you can also do it after getting your yellow jewel). After the door is unlocked, place the Blue Jewel on the pedestal, take the Red Jewel along with you, go through the Blue Door (2nd floor) and take the portal to the 3rd Floor (Blue Room). Walk through the unlocked door that lead to the 3rd floor of the Red Room, take the elevator and go up to 4th floor (Red Room). Place the Red Jewel on the pedestal and you can fight Omnimon. His weakness is NSo. Just remember to take back the Red Jewel before heading back to the 1st Floor or before using the Return Key. - Wargreymon X - 1st Floor, Dark Area - After getting the Rainbow Jewel in a chest beyond the Yellow Door, go through the White Door on the 1st floor to the place where you fought Ghoulmon earlier (and receive your blue jewel). Put the rainbow jewel on the pedestal, go through the door and you'll fight him. His weakness is NSp. - Chaosmon - 2nd Floor, Dark Area - Place the jewel on the pedestal

in this order from left to right, red, blue, yellow. A teleporter will appear and you can then fight him. His weakness is NSo. - Mercurimon, Minervamon, Neptunemon, Jumbogamemon, Sleipmon - 2nd area (5th Floor), Ice Labyrinth - Mercurimon, Minervamon, Neptunemon, Jumbogamemon, Sleipmon - You can fight these megas and fulfil your digivolution requirement after you have save at the last save point beyond the Yellow Door at area 11, Dark Area. After you have defeated Lucemon for the second time, a teleporter will appear that lead to another area of Ice Labyrinth (5th Floor) and you can find all these bosses in that area. The bosses will be in their respective room except for Sleipmon and Jumbogamemon where you have to speak to Commander Sampson and Yushima's first to challenge them. But beforehand, I think you must defeat Yushima's Jumbogamemon first at area 11, Dark Area as a prt of Kamemon's quest. These bosses are quite strong, especially Mercurimon. So pick your level properly before fighting them. Weakness: Mercurimon (DR & NSo), Neptunemon (WG), Minervamon (VB), Jumbogamemon (WG), Sleipmon (NSo). - Belphemon, Barbamon, Beelzemon, Leviamon, Lucemon - You can also fight these bosses for the second time to receive their power after saving at the last save point beyond the Yellow Door at area 11, Dark Area. Go back to the respective area where you fought them the first time and you can fight them again. This is also a part of the requirement in order for you to meet Creepymon and receive his power in Area 1, Walter Island. But beforehand, you must also talk to Lilithmon in area 5, Livilus Island before meeting Creepymon. - Black and White Pawnchessmon - 2nd Floor, Mirage Museum - Go back to area 4, Mirage Museum, take the north elevator and enter the 1st room, next to the room with the green switch. They are just rookies and weak to JT. I'm not sure when is the earliest you can fight them though. ==================================================================== 9. Kamemon quests (Credits to Vangui) (kame) -------------------------------------------You can do the Kamemon quest in order to fulfil Boyomon's digivolution requirement for Jumbogamemon or just for leveling up. The key is to talk to Yushima in every stage. This is my way of initiating the fight, in following order: 1) Area 2, Sneyato Forest: Talk to him. He is next to the barrier. No fight. 2) Area 3, Rage Cavern: Talk to him and this will be your first fight for the Kamemon quest. He's standing next to the road outside the cave which is not far from your boss fight. But beforehand, let me remind you that Yushima's digimon can be quite strong depending on your level. So pick your level and manage your strategy properly whenever you want to fight him. Come back later if you think that you're not strong enough. Or if you want a challenge, try fighting him at whatever level you have. Kamemon is a rookie and his weakness is WG. If you cannot find him when the 1st time you come here, come back later after finishing area 4 (Mirage Museum) or 5 (Livilus Island). 3) Area 4, Mirage Museum: Talk to him. He is next to the save point. No fight. 4) Area 5, Livilus Island: Make sure you find him here. This is the

stage where people always miss him. He is hidden behind the white pillars opposite the save point, which is not really visible at a glance. If you move your character towards the pillar than you can see his back. If you cannot find him now, come back later. 5) Area 6, Digital dungeon: Talk to him. He is in a room next to the room with the second Blue Switch. No fight. 6) Area 7, Sea Precipice Jerapilus: Talk to him and this will be your second fight against him, if you think you can beat him at your current level. He's on the 2nd floor, next to the Blue activation floor. This time you'll fight against Gawappamon, who also has a WG weakness. 7) Area 8, Doomsday forest ruin: Talk to him. He is next to the switch that can change the way the water flow (upward or downward). No fight. 8) Area 9, DATS Headquarters Entrance: Talk to him. He is somewhere around the cross junction leading to the boss place so you will not miss him. No fight. But go back to area 8, Doomsday forest ruin after clearing this stage. 9) Area 8, Doomsday forest ruin: Talk to him. He will ask for a fishing string. Go back to headquarter, talk to Samson and he'll give you a fishing string. Go back and talk to Yushima and this will be your third fight, if you think you can beat him at your current level. You'll fight against Marineangemon, a Mega and her weakness is WG. 10) Area 1, Walter Island: After beating Marineangemon, go to this island and fight him there. He'll be standing next to the save point. You'll fight against Shaujinmon with a WG weakness. 11) Area 10, Ice labyrinth: Talk to him. He is to the left from the T-junction that leads to the boss place. No fight. 12) Area 11, Dark Area: You'll find him on the 4th floor in the room with 3 red switches on the far left of the area. This is the place where you'll get your yellow orb which looks like a garden and you can find metalgarurumon scattered around here. You'll fight Jumbogamemon and have fulfil the requirement to digivolve to Jumbogamemon. His weakness is still WG. 13) Area 10, Ice labyrinth: You can fight Jumbogamemon for the second time but this time he'll be paired with Sleipmon. You can find him and Commander Sampson in a room on the second part of Ice Labyrinth where all the remaining optional bosses are, after defeating Lucemon for the second time. ==================================================================== 10. Digimon weakness/opposing type (weak) ----------------------------------------Digimon weakness is based on the attack delivered by opposing field/race/type of digimon and the effect is reversible between the opposing type of digimon. information 1. Light - Salamon's digiegg quest. (I don't remember how many digieggs to trade for this item) 2. Hope - Could be in Mirage Museum, in a chest, forgot 3. Friendship - In a chest at area 7, Sea Precipice Jerapilus 4. Knowledge - Go and see Pandamon after you have Renamon in your team. I think you have to answer a math question and the answer is 10 minutes. He'll give it to you afterwards. 5. Honesty - After you have met Chuumon, buy some stuff from him. Stop buying, talk to him until you have his request for cheese from Pandamon. If not, just buy some stuff again, stop buying & talk to him again until he told you of his request. Then go back to Pandamon, answer a question (I think the answer is Yoshino) and he'll give you the cheese. Bring the cheese back to Chuumon. ==================================================================== 14. Personal opinion on which Digimon to use in battle/level up (opin) --------------------------------------------------------------My team normally comprised of an attacker, a supporter and a healer. So my preference would be the original first 3 digimon that you receive in the storyline, which are Agumon, Gaomon and Lalamon. Besides having a lot of mega form digivolution, Agumon is a strong character and that is why I'm not surprise if he is also everyone's main attacker. You cannot remove him anyway so just stick with it. However in battle, Agumon's turn of action can be quite slow due to its low agility and that is why one of my supporting characters is Gaomon who's got really useful command like a G Agility Up to boost his turn (Gaogamon & Miragegaogamon form). You can switch Gaomon with Falcomon or Biyomon since those two are also quicker than Agumon, but Biyomon joins your team a bit later in the game, so he could fall behind in terms of level compared to the others. However besides being fast and have the ability to make Agumon's turn of action comes quicker, compared to the other 2 substitutes, Gaomon also have useful command like Search Weakness and Attack Weakness that can amplify damage, which I normally use a lot. As for healer, normally I use Lalamon's Rosemon digivolution form. Besides having higher agility than Agumon, she also has good healing spell such as G Healing. But the con is that she can be quite weak compared to Agumon and Gaomon sometimes due to lower stats. That's why I substituted her with Renamon (Sakuyamon's form) sometimes since Sakuyamon also have the same healing spell, but with higher defense than Rosemon. However, same problem with Biyomon, Renamon joins the team a bit late in the game which makes her fall behind in terms of level. Another thing that makes Lalamon my better choice is that she has the Resist Mega command which is quite useful in reducing damage from bosses. In terms of which Mega form to use, normally I just stick with the one on the far right of each Digimon's evolution map (Agumon Shinegreymon, Lalamon - Rosemon/Minervamon, Gaomon - Miragegaogamon, Falcomon - Ravemon, Biyomon - Phoenixmon, Renamon - Sakuyamon). The reason being is that you can get these forms very early in the game and most of their commands are very useful throughout the whole game. Another reason is that the digivolution requirement of defeating Megas & receiving 50,000-100,000 damage is normally much harder to fulfill except for those who are patients and love leveling up. That's why I have not received all of my digimon's Mega

form since im having problems fulfilling those requirements because I'm quite lazy in leveling up. However comparing Agumon with the other forms that I got such as Darkdramon, Ghoulmon, Gallantmon, Wargreymon & Wargreymon X, Shinegreymon has the highest stats. So if you're a lazy type and just want to finish the game, you can still stick with your Shinegreymon form and I'm sure you'll do just fine. For Gaomon, I used Miragegaogamon form mainly due to the agility and the G Agility Up command. As for Lalamon, Rosemon is my better choice compared to Renamon's Sakuyamon due to the higher level, Resist Mega command and also Forbidden Temptation command that can attack multiple enemies. However when Lalamon can digivolve to Minervamon, I just use that form due to higher stats and late in the game you should be rich enough to just buy all the high level healing items, especially from Pandamon. I beat all the bosses including the optional one with the level of just below 50 and I do most of the leveling up just by beating all the optional bosses. I'm sure there are a lot of people out there who is better than me but what I'm trying to say is that you don't need to be at high level to win the game, just the right strategy would be sufficient. So it depends on your own choice on what combination of digimon that you want, depending on your own style. Some people like 2 attackers & 1 supporter, so just choose whatever suits you. The important thing is just to enjoy the game. ==================================================================== B) Simple walkthrough ==================================================================== 1. Walter Island (walt) ----------------------Preparation: If you have money, just buy a few healing items first. When you get lalamon in area 2, she probably will do most of the healing job with its heal command, instead of using items. So you can start saving money afterwards. Type of enemies: DS, NSO and a WG, Airdramon (a Champion) which is available after clearing the stage. This is good place to hunt NSo digimon as they appear quite often. Also good place to kill WG digimon as they area quite rare and Airdramon appear more frequent than other WG digimon in other places. Chest Boss Save point Yushima

Walkthrough: This stage is quite straight to the point. Just remember to save before facing the boss.

Boss - 1st boss is Tyromon, a Champion. Just kick hiss ass. If you have done enough killing you can already have at least 1 digivolution. 2nd boss is Creepymon. You cannot win this one as it is a part of the storyline. So just use any command that you want. If you want to receive his power as a part of Agumon's digivolution requirement, Creepymon will be here after you have done the sidequest of meeting up with the boss in Area 5, Livilus Island and defeating the other demon lords (main story bosses) for the second time (after saving at the last save point beyond yellow door at area 11, Dark Area). There is no second demon lord fight in this place, so not necessarily to come back here except to fight Yushima and receiving Creepymon's power which will increase Agumon's stats. Yushima - He'll be here after you beat his MarineAngemon at (area 8) Doomsday Forest during the Kamemon quest, after clearing area no 9 (DATS Headquarters Entrance). You'll fight against Shaujinmon with a WG weakness. Immediate optional things that can be done after clearing this stage - Just progress with the storyline or come back here to fight Airdramon (WG) which is available after clearing the stage. A chest is also available near the boss area. -------------------------------------------------------------------2. Sneyato Forest (sney) -----------------------Preparation: This time you already have lalamon. So you can let her do the healing job and save money from buying healing items. Type of enemies: VB, JT and NSp. A good place to hunt for NSp digimon. Also not bad in terms of hunting for VB and JT digmon. If you want to kill a lot of VB and JT, better do it here quickly before clearing the stage as they appear more often compared to after clearing the stage. The next place you will find more VB is at a later stage, area 9, DATS headquarters entrance. JT digimon looks like flowers and trees (Palmon, Woodmon) and dragonfly (Yanmamon). For Nsp, they all looks like wild animal (wolf - Garurumon, lion leomon) while as for VB, Patamon is the only one available now. some items based on the number of digimon you have defeated. Among important items traded which is important for digivolution are the Holy Ring and the X antibody. So keep on coming back here to check your stats and trade for items once in a while. Sphere puzzle - Firstly touch red sphere O1, then the red barrier to the south and in front of Yushima will open. Go open chest C2. Then talk to Yushima, then press red sphere O2 and then purple sphere O3 (some barrier will open and close). Then go back from the back entrance and press red sphere O1 again. Purple Barrier in front of the save point will open & you can then save and fight the boss. Boss - Bakemon, a Champion. Just kick his ass and heal whenever needed. Bakemon will then digivolve to Myotismon, an Ultimate. Use VB enchant on your attacker and kick his ass. There is no second demon lord fight in this place, so it is not necessarily to come back here except for leveling up and fulfilling defeating certain type of digimon. Immediate optional things that can be done after clearing this stage - Just progress with the storyline or come back here to fight Leomon (Champion) which is available after clearing the stage. -------------------------------------------------------------------3. Rage Cavern (rage) --------------------Preparation: By now you should have 3 digimon in your command. So I guess its better for you to start planning your evolution so that you don't have to keep on coming back to the same area to hunt for digimon. Buy some enchant items if you have the money. Im not sure when these items will be available, but stock on some Return Key, Low encounter and Invisible if you want to. Return key are useful if you're lazy to walk back to the starting point and low encounter makes your movement much easier. Type of enemies: Mostly ME and NSp. Then you can collect all the loot from the chests, find Yushima (if available), and then just head straight to the save point and the Boss area. Yushima - I cannot find him the first time I arrive here. So if you cannot find him now, come back here again later (after clearing area 4 or 5, perhaps). When you accept his challenge, this will be the starting point of your Kamemon quest. You will need to complete the quest in order to fight an optional boss, Jumbogamemon (Mega level)in area 11, Dark Area. Defeating Jumbogamemon is also a requirement for your Biyomon to digivolve to Jumbogamemon. If you accept his challenge in this area, you'll fight his Kamemon. But beforehand, let me remind you that Yushima's digimon can be quite strong depending on your level. So pick your level and manage your strategy properly whenever you want to fight him. Come back later if you think that you're not strong enough. Or if you want a challenge, try fighting him at whatever level you have. Use the same search weakness, field enchant, attack weakness enchant, upgrade attack, uograde defense strategy and you can win in a couple of round (or probably kill him in a single attack if you have a strong digimon). Kamemon is a rookie with a WG weakness. Boss - Belphemon, a Mega. His weakness is VB. So use VB enchant if you want to. It is also recommended for Gaomon to do the finishing blow if you want him digivolve to Miragegaogamon very early in the game, unless if you want to fulfil the defeating 20 megas requirement for Agumon and Lalamon, which require a much longer time to do. You can also fight him again for the second time after saving at the last save point beyond yellow door at area 11, Dark Area. Defeating him for the second time will increase Agumon's stats, fulfil Agumon's requirement to digivolve to Belphemon and letting you to meet up with Creepymon in area 1, Walter Island after beating up the other Demon Lords as well. Immediate optional things that can be done after clearing this stage - Try coming back here if you want to find Yushima and didn't find him earlier. If you still cannot find him, then just come back later. 2 chests are also available around the boss area. -------------------------------------------------------------------4. Mirage museum (mira) ----------------------Preparation: By now you should have 4 digimons in your command. Since the boss is a Mega, I guess it's better for you to start planning your evolution on which Mega that you want first and which digimon that you want to use for the rest of the game. These are the minimum requirement if you want a Mega at an early stage in the game: - Gaomon (Defeat 5 Megas to get Miragegaogamon) - Falcomon (Defeat 3 Megas to get Ravemon) So just make sure either one of these two deliver the finishing blow, unless if you are going for the defeating 20 Mega requirement for any of the digimon of your choice. Also stock on the normal stuff, Healing items, Find Weakness, Attack Weakness, Return Key, Field Enchant and Low encounter if you want to.

Type of enemies: ME and NSo. You can identify ME type if you are attacked by a rock (Gotsumon), a gear (Solarmon), a block agumon (Toyagumon) and a yellow bear (Monzaemon). As for, NSo, it's a candle (Candlemon) and a pumpkin (Pumpmon). You should also take notice that Monzaemon and Pumpmon are Ultimate digimon. E1 - Transporter (Go to E2 and vice versa) E3 - Transporter (Go to E4 and vice versa) Walkthrough: Firstly, go to the north transporter, E1, and you'll arrive on the second floor through E2. Then go to the room far on the right to get a chest. After that go to the middle/second room, and press the green switch G1, this will turn off Green Barrier WG. Then go back to 1st floor through E2, go through the turn off barrier WG and step on the transporter E3. You'll arrive on the second floor through E4. Walk south and then east, go to the room on the far left and turn on the Blue Switch GB, which will turn off Blue Barrier WB. Then go have a chat with Yushima, save and face the boss. Miki & Megumi - They'll not be here the 1st time you explore the area. I'm not entirely sure when they'll be here, but after you reach area 11, dark Area, both of them should already be available here. If you talk to both of them, you can fight 2 optional bosses, Black and White Pawnchessmon. They are just rookies and weak to JT, so I'm guessing you can encounter them quite early in the game. Boss - Barbamon, a Mega. His weakness is VB. Be careful though since he can remove your party member from the battle field. You can also fight him again for the second time after saving at the last save point beyond yellow door at area 11, Dark Area. Defeating him for the second time will increase Gaomon's stats, fulfil Gaomon's requirement to digivolve to Barbamon and letting you to meet up with Creepymon in area 1, Walter Island after beating up the other Demon

Lords as well. Immediate optional things that can be done after clearing this stage - You can go back to area 3, Rage Cavern to find Yushima, if you cannot find him the first time. If you still cannot find him, then try again after clearing area 5, Livilus Island. 2 chests are also available around the boss area. A good place to hunt DR digimon (looks like dinosaur) as they appear more often. There is also WG digimon (looks like bird) such as Toucamon or Birdramon here but they appear less often.

I think he'll ask a math question with the answer 10 minutes and then you'll receive the Knowledge digiegg. Also come back here after meeting up with Chuumon in area 10, Ice Labyrinth. He'll ask a question with the answer Yushino and he'll give you the cheese that was asked by Chuumon. You'll need the cheese to get the Honesty digiegg from Chuumon. Optional Boss - Darkdramon, a mega. His weakness is JT. Come back to the island after defeating Lilithmon and input this colour at the box puzzle: Red, Yellow, Green. A teleporter will appear to the south of the box puzzle. Be careful because he can be quite tough in the earlier part of the game, especially if you are at low level. I died the first time I fought him at level 18+ with 3 ultimates without using the item Invisible just because I want to see how strong he is. So I recommend you to have at least 1 Mega if you want to fight him and use a good strategy. U can also use the item Invisible if he is too strong for you. You can also find 2 chests here. Immediate optional things that can be done after clearing this stage: 1. Find Yushima in area 3, Rage Cavern if you haven't found him 2. Come back here to this area if you cannot find him the 1st time 3. Fight Darkdramon here or just walk pass him and open 2 chests 4. Trade item with Salamon 5. Open a chest that will appear around the boss area -------------------------------------------------------------------6. Digital Dungeon (digi) ------------------------Preparation: Can be quite a large place for some players, so remember to stock on the normal items and Low Encounter.

Type of enemies: Same as Mirage Museum, mostly ME and some NSo. For ME you can still find the common gear look-alike digimon (Solarmon and Hagurumon) and shit digimon (Numemon and Goldnumemon). Then go east and north, and enter the 1st room to talk to Yushima and open 2 chests. No fight with yushima this time. Then go to the room on far left and turn on Blue Switch, B2. Then head back further south to the end and then to the east. You'll find a room with Green switch, G2 and a chest. Just open the chest, then move further to the east and then north. Grab a chest, move north and you'll end up at the place with the save point and 4 barriers earlier. Save, head north and you'll fight the boss. Boss - Beelzemon, a Mega. His weakness is VB. You can also fight him again for the second time after saving at the last save point beyond yellow door at area 11, Dark Area. Sea Precipice Jerapilus (seap) --------------------------------Preparation: Sorry to say, this is the most annoying place for me due to the stair puzzle and it is quite a huge area. So better stock on a lot of Low Encounter and Retun Key. Type of enemies: You can find a lot of aquatic digimon here, which is DS. So this will be a good place to hunt for DS type. Among the DS digimon available here are Otamamon (tadpole), Whamon (whale), Tyromon (blue winged shark) and Megaseadramon (sea dragon). Despite the name, Megaseadramon is just an ultimate though. ME digimon are also available here. Petranamon looks like aeroplane. However do not mistaken Mambomon as a DS just because he looks like a flat fish. There's also a few NSo digimon available here that looks like orcs (Goburimon, Shamamon). Walkthrough: Firstly, when you arrive at this place, on the 1st floor, the stair S1 is pointing to the south. If you stand on Red Stage R1, stair S1 will move to the east and connect to the round stage on the right. So the Red Stage R1 act as a switch in maneuvering the direction of the moving stair S1 to the south or to the east. So step on Red stage R1, then walk to portal P1. So from R2, walk to the junction between S3 and S5, walk south and open Chest 1, C1. Then go up north through S3 and S5 to the Blue Stage, B1. You'll also notice on your way that there are 2 chests,

C2 and C3 which cannot be reach now, but we'll come back for it later. When you step on B1, Stair 7, T7 will move to North East and the stage will now looks something like the picture below. Yushima - You should talk to him along your way to B1. If you have talk to him at all the other stages previously, and already fought his Kamemon in Area 3, Rage Cavern, now you can have a second fight with him. You'll go up against Kamemon's second form, Gawappamon, a champion who also has a WG weakness. Be careful though because he can be quite strong, depending on your level. So now go south from B1 through T7 and you'll arrive at a save point and then Portal P3. 3rd Floor (Initial stair location) ---------------------------------When you arrive at 3rd Floor through portal P4, you'll notice that the stage look something like the picture on the left. Go to Red Stage R3, step on it, and stair S9 will move to northeast connecting directly to P5. However you will also notice that on the second floor, S5 and S3 will also move parallel with S9 and now the stair S5 is already connected to the chest C2 and C3. So if you want to open chest C2 and C3, go back to 2nd Floor and walk back through stairs T7 and S5. After opening chest, come back to the 3rd Floor. Chest C3 contain the Friendship DE which is required for Falcomon to digivolve to Petranamon (I think, don't quite remember). For those who just want to continue the game without bothering to go back for the chests on 2nd Floor, just move to the East on 3rd Floor through S9, take portal P5 to P6, open 2 chests on 4th Floor and go back to 3rd Floor. Head back to portal P4, but this time go through the Blue Stage first on the south.

looks like insect (Butterflymon, Stingmon). ME digimon such as Etemon (yellow monkey) and Kokuwamon (beetle robot) are also available here. There's also a few WG and NSp digimon here. However do not get confuse between Pegasmon (WG) and Shimaunimon (NSp) though although both of them come from the same family. Walkthrough: Go to the east and open a chest. Then head back to the T-junction and head straight north for another chest in a cave. Then go back to the cross junction, head east and north for another chest. Afterward just follow the route to the east until you reach a save point, a portal P1. Step on P1 to activate it and you'll be transported to P2. Open a chest on the east and go back to P1 again through P2. Stand near the river edge and there'll be options whether you want to ride the log or not. Select to ride the log. Firstly the water will flow downward. First stop is near Yushima and switch control. Talk to him or just ride on the log again to go to the second stoop point and open 2 chests. Then head to the 3rd stop point and teleport back to P1 through P2. Do the same step again but this time just stop at the 1st stop point near Yushima. Talk to him if you haven't done it. Then go to the switch control and switch the water flow so that it'll go upward. Ride on the log again, but this time you'll move upward. At the next stop point you can open a chest with a Discount Card. At the last stop point you can then open chests, save and head on to the boss area. Yushima - The first time you talk to him, it'll be just a normal chat. However come back here after you have clear the next stage, area 9, DATS Headquarters Entrance. Talk to him and he will ask for a fishing string. Go back to headquarter, talk to Samson and he'll give you a fishing string. Go back and talk to Yushima and this will be your third fight. You'll fight against Marineangemon, a Mega and her weakness is WG. I still think you need to do this optional battle before fighting Kamemon's third form later in area 1, Walter Island.

Boss - Creepymon, a Mega. His weakness is VB. You will not fight him for the second time here though. However if you come back for the second time, his place will be taken over by Bantyoleomon. Optional Boss - Bantyoleomon, a Mega - After finishing this area, come back here and go the place where you fought Creepymon earlier and you can find him standing there. Besides being really strong, somebody also wrote on the Board that he can also remove opponents from the battle stage, although it didn't happen to me. So just be careful. His weakness is DR. Immediate optional things that can be done after clearing this stage: 1. Fight Yushima in area 3, Rage Cavern 2. Find Yushima in area 5, Livilus Island if you haven't found him 3. Can be a good hunting ground for those 3 types of digimon. The DR digimon available here are the various version of Greymon and Growlmon and as for VB you'll find Angemon (white angel). As for Nso you can find Devimon (black devil), Bakemon (ghost)and human flame (Meramon & Bluemeramon). A thing to note is that aside from the optional bosses, you can find a Marieangemon, a Mega digimon lurking around in the second area (5th Floor) of Ice Labyrinth (available after saving at the last save point beyond the Yellow Door at area 11, Dark Area and defeated Lucemon for the second time). C - Chest Walkthrough: Firstly, I suggested that you clear the right area first since it's not that big and you can meet Chuumon on the 3rd Floor. You can buy good items from him such as No Encounter & Friend/Affection drink, and do a small quest to get the Honesty DE. The more items you buy from him, better items will be additionally sold at his store. After clearing the right stage area, go on and clear the left area. You will eventually end up at the boss area on the 4th Floor. However don't forget to speak to Yushima on the same floor along your way as part of Kamemon's quest. Honesty DE quest - After you have met Chuumon, buy some stuff from him. Stop buying, talk to him until you have his request for cheese from Pandamon. If not, just buy some stuff again, stop buying & talk to him again until he told you of his request. Then go back to Pandamon on area 5, Livilus Island, answer a question (I think the answer is Yoshino) and he'll give you the cheese. Bring the cheese back to Chuumon and he'll give you the Honesty DE. You'll need this digiegg for one of the digivolution. I don't remember for which evolution it was for though. Boss - Lucemon, an Ultimate. His weakness is VB. You can also fight him again for the second time after saving at the last save point beyond yellow door at area 11, Dark Area. Defeating him for the second time will increase Lalamon's stats, fulfil Lalamon's requirement to digivolve to Lucemon, open up area on 5th Floor for other optional bosses; and letting you to meet up with Creepymon in area 1, Walter Island after beating up the other Demon Lords as well. Optional bosses - Mercurimon, Minervamon, Neptunemon, Jumbogamemon, Sleipmon - You can fight these megas and fulfil your digivolution reuqirement after you have save at the last save point beyond the Yellow Door at area 11, Dark Area. After you have defeated Lucemon for the second time, a teleporter will appear that lead to another area of Ice Labyrinth (5th Floor)and you can find all these bosses in that area. The bosses will be in their respective room except for Sleipmon and Jumbogamemon where you have to speak to Commander Sampson and Yushima's first to challenge them. But beforehand, I think you must defeat Yushima's Jumbogamemon first at area 11, Dark Area as a prt of Kamemon's quest. These bosses are quite strong, especially Mercurimon. So pick your level properly before fighting them. Weakness: Mercurimon (DR & NSo), Neptunemon (WG), Minervamon (VB), Jumbogamemon (WG), Sleipmon (NSo). Immediate optional things that can be done after clearing this stage: 1. You should have fought Yushima in area 3, Rage Cavern by now 2. Most of them are ultimate and there are a few Megas lurking around. So it is also a good place for leveling up and fulfilling defeating Ultimate/Mega requirement. A few Megas available here are: - Platinumnumemon - 3rd & 4th floor in the Dark Area if you go through the Blue Room. - Metalgarurumon - 4th floor (Blue Room) of the Dark Area if you go through the Red Room. It is basically the area where you have to fight Blackwargreymon & Chaosgallantmon to get the yellow orb. - Blackghoulmon - He could be here though, I don't quite remember Walkthrough: When you enter the castle, you'll see a save point and a White Door. Go through the door and you'll eventually end up in a puzzle area. The solution is to step on the triangle in the following sequence: Left, Right, Middle. A door will be open and you'll fight Ghoulmon, a Mega with a VB weakness. You can unlock D1 on the 3rd Floor (Blue Room) if you go through here. D2 - Door leading to door D1 on the 3rd Floor of the Red Room. However it can only be opened for the first time when you go through the 3rd Floor of the Red Room (with the Red Jewel on the pedestal in front of Red Door). D - Normal door O - Pedestal

- Elevator go to P2 - Elevator go to P1 if you come here from the Blue Door. But it will go to P3 if you come here through the Red Door (get Yellow Jewel) - Elevator go to P2 when you come here through the Red Door - Elevator go to P5 - Elevator go to P4 if you come here from the Red Door. But it will go to P6 if you come here through the Blue Door (to Omnimon) - Elevator go to P5 when you come here through the Blue Door - Yushima - Chest

After receiving the Blue Jewel, go to the 2nd Floor, place the Blue Jewel on the pedestal in front of the Blue Door, and go through it. Take the elevator P1 and go to the 3rd floor (Blue Room). You'll notice that there is a door to your far left, D2, but it cannot be opened yet. Ignore the door first, and just go to the north until you reach a triangular puzzle (Puzzle 1). I think the solution to the puzzle is Right-Left-Right (or Left-Right-Left, don't quite remember). Afterward a door will be open and you'll fight MoonMilleniumon, a Mega with a VB weakness. After defeating him you'll receive the Red Jewel. After receiving the Red Jewel, place the Red Jewel on the pedestal in front of the Red Door, and go through it. Take the elevator P3 and go to the 3rd floor (Red Room). Go through the door D2 and you'll end up in the Blue Room (3rd Floor) through D1 which cannot be opened earlier. Go to elevator P2, but this time there is only an option of going up. Take it and you'll end up on the 4th Floor (Blue Room). There are triangular puzzles on the 1st two rooms from the left. The solution is: 1) Go to Middle Room, step on Middle-Left-Right 2) Go to Left Room, step on Middle-Left-Right 3) Go back to Middle Room again, but this time just step on Right Door on the right will open and you'll fight a pair of Megas, Blackwargreymon (weakness NSp) and Chaosgallantmon (weakness VB). After defeating them you'll receive the Yellow Jewel. After receiving the Yellow Jewel, place the Yellow Jewel on the pedestal in front of the Yellow Door, and go through it. You'll find the Rainbow Jewel in a chest and a save point. Save at the last save point and you have 2 options. The first one is to just continue up and fight the final boss, Dark Lord or do all the other optional things and quests; like fighting optional bosses and receive the power of the storyline bosses. Yushima - You'll find him on the 4th Floor (Blue Room). If you have done all the Kamemon's quest previously, this will will be your last fight for the quest. You'll fight his Jumbogamemon and fulfil the requirement to digivolve to Jumbogamemon. His weakness is still WG. However you can still fight him for the second time at the new area (5th Floor) of Ice Labyrinth after defeating lucemon for the second time. But this time he'll be paired with Sleipmon. Final Boss - Dark Lord, a Mega. His weakness is VB. Use the normal strategy. Eventually you will finish the game and smile all day long :) Optional bosses:

1) Omnimon - 4th Floor (Red Room)- This should be done after you have unlock the door D2 which was locked earlier on the 3rd floor of Blue Room. After the door is unlocked, place the Blue Jewel on the pedestal, take the Red Jewel along with you, go through the Blue Door (2nd floor) and take the portal P1 to the 3rd Floor (Blue Room). Walk through D2 and you'll end up in the Red Room (3rd Floor) through D1. Go to elevator P5, but this time there is only an option of going up. Take it and you'll end up on the 4th Floor(Red Room). Place the Red Jewel on the pedestal and you can fight Omnimon. His weakness is NSo. Just remember to take back the Red Jewel before heading back to the 1st Floor or before using the Return Key. 2) Wargreymon X - 1st Floor - After getting the Rainbow Jewel in a chest beyond the Yellow Door, go through the White Door on the 1st floor to the place where you fought Ghoulmon earlier (and receive your blue jewel). Put the rainbow jewel on the pedestal, go through the door and you'll fight him. His weakness is NSp. 3) Chaosmon - 2nd Floor - Place the jewel on the pedestal in this order from left to right, red, blue, yellow. A teleporter will appear and you can then fight him. His weakness is NSo. Immediate optional things that can be done after saving at the last save point beyond the Yellow Door: 1. You should have fought Yushima's Gawappamon in area 7, Sea Precipice Jerapilus by now 2. You should have fought Yushima's Marineangemon in area 8, Doomsday Forest by now. 3. After beating Yushima's Marineangemon, you should have fought Yushima's Shaujinmon in area 1, Walter Island by now and beat the crap out of Kamemon's final Mega form, Jumbogamemon on the 4th Floor of Dark Area 4. You should have fought Darkdramon in area 5, Livilus Island by now 5. You should have fought Bantyoleomon in area 8, Doomsday Forest by now 6. Trade item with Salamon to get X-Antibody 7. Fight Miki & Megumi's Pawnchessmon at area 4, Mirage Museum 8. Defeat all the bosses for the second time and receive their power (except for Lilithmon & Creepymon where you don't have to fight them) 9. Improvement wish list -----------------------Based on this game and all the previous Digimon World series, I wish to suggest these improvements for the next Digimon World RPG (if there is any): 1. Give us a map. That would be helpful 2. Reduce the encounter rate or give the low encounter item quite early in the game or more save points 3. Speed up the loading time 4. Speed up the action sequence during battle or after killing the enemy. It could be quite boring sometimes to wait for the action to take place 5. Throw in some cool-looking movie or FMV in the game, especially fighting sequence, not only the introduction movie. Final Fantasy & Shadow Hearts series have this, which is very interesting. I was always astonished by the introduction movie of each Digimon World series, so adding more movies will be better, I think. Also enable certain button that can be pressed to skip the movies 6. Add on combo action or special attack. For example, a special gauge that will increase each time you receive damage, and when it is full you can then unleash special powerful attack. 7. Put a help section explaining the gameplay 8. Add extra mode after finishing the game. Probably extra stage or extra hard bosess to fight with 2. About me

----------My real name is Rizal and I live in Malaysia. I love PS2 games especially in the action, beat-em up and RPG genre. But I'm not a fan of first person shooter game though. Besides PS2 games I also love anime, jdrama & movies. I'm not really a game freak as I also have my own job, my own life and other stuffs to do. So most of the time I just play games during my leisure time. Initially I was planning to submit this faq in October, however due to work commitment, that is why I can only finish most of the write up today. Besides a couple of flaws mentioned earlier, I think Digimon World Data Squad is still an enjoyful game.
