Read the dialogue below and complete the table given.
Aliya and her family just moved to their new house in the village. Her father
wanted to plant something in their compound. He asked for suggestion from Aliya
and her mother.
Father : What should we plant in our compound.
Mother : I want to plant rose, bougainvillea and orchid in he garden. They can beautify
our compound and we can make a landscape from the flowers.
Aliya
: How about planting fruit trees, Father? I like to eat durian, mangosteen and
rambutan. We can plant them around the house.
Mother : No. It takes us too long to get the fruit. We can just buy them at the market.
Flowering plants takes only 2 to 3 months to bloom and they will decorate our
house.
Aliya
: Mum, although it takes us about 4 to 6 years to get the fruit, it is for a long
term use. Local fruits are expensive. We can save our money if we plant our
own fruit trees.
Father : Vegetables can benefit us too. We can plant chillies, tomatoes and okra at the
backyard. It is for our everyday use too. We can save our money from buying
them at the market because we can harvest them after 2 to 3 weeks. Our
