PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
Achieves solid-liquid separation by directing the liquid between a series of inclined plates called lamellae Settles suspended solids by gravity Settling surface area of each plate is equivalent to its horizontal projection As lamellae are normally spaced approximately 50 mm apart, large settling surfaces are concentrated within a relatively small floor area Design ensures laminar, stable flow and excellent effluent quality
