This information can assist you in connecting your laptop or PC to an Inmarsat-mini-M terminal and describes how to configure the terminal for use with the Xantic (Station 12) WebLink service. You will find general information that will enable you to access WebLink. For more detailed information of the specific terminal, please consult the user manual of your Inmarsat terminal. In order to use the T&T Capsat mini-M to access the Internet, it must be correctly connected and configured for data use. The steps to be taken are: 1. 1. Press the <2nd> key, followed by the <1Menu> key. 2. Use arrow keys to scroll down to the Config option. 3. Press the <OK> button. 4. Use the arrow keys to scroll down to the Data setup option. 5. Press the <OK> button. 6. Use the arrow keys to select a Baudrate of 9600 and then press the <OK> button. 7. Use the arrow keys to select Flow Control of Hardware, then press the <OK> button. 8. Establishing a data connection to the Xantic (Station 12) WebLink service requires that the terminal is set-up to connect via Station 12. If you already have an mini-M subscription with Xantic (Station 12) (terminal or SIM card) all outgoing calls will be routed through Xantic (Station 12) automatically. It is not necessary to make any changes. If Xantic (Station 12) is not your default Service Provider you can have access to the Xantic (Station 12) WebLink service by ordering a SIM card with an mini-M subscription at Xantic (Station 12). For more information contact Xantic (Station 12) Customer Services. If your mini-M terminal (in case of maritime use) can handle calls via different Land Earth Stations, you will have to select Station 12 to use the WebLink service. The LES that the terminal will use is shown on the main screen, immediately after switching on. If the LES shown here is not Station 12 (Burum LES), change it by following the steps below.
1. Press the <2nd> key, followed by the <1Menu> key. 2. Use arrow keys to scroll down to the Default LES option. 3. Press the <OK> button. 4. Use the arrow keys to select 012 Station 12 (LES Burum). 5. Press the <OK> button. After a few seconds, Station 12 will be selected and you will be returned to the screen shown in step 1.
