Design and Fabrication of Double acting Hacksaw machine April 2012 to Present Members:Varatharajan S, Vignesh Ravi, Vignesh Waran, sathesh kumar Increasing the productivity is one of the main requirements of production engineering in any kind of manufacturing industry. Either by reducing the operation time or by improving the capability of the machine to produce the components in an increased number at the same time is very essential for an industry to achieve the same. This project employs the Scotch yoke mechanism in power hacksaw machine which enables it to cut two components at a time thereby improving the productivity. Experimental Investigation on the influence of Injector parameters in the performance and emission of DI diesel engine February 2013 to Present Members:Varatharajan S, Vignesh Waran, Vignesh Ravi This project involves the experimental analysis and optimization of various injection parameters and the property of fuel in Direct Injection type diesel engine. The objective is to optimize the parameters for better performance and reduced emission levels. The optimization had been done using Taguchi-Grey Relational Analysis which was found to be an efficient tool for the optimization of engine parameters from the results obtained.
