LinkOne 5.3 has a custom install option which installs the Ellipse integration components, which include the PartsCatalog.exe LinkOne 5.3 has a custom install option which installs the Ellipse integration components, which include the PartsCatalog.exe
Assuming the correct version of Ellipse and Middleware are installed, install LinkOne version 5.3, selecting custom install, and then selecting to install the Ellipse Integration feature. You can then test LinkOne integration by launching LinkOne from any of the following MSQ's: MSQ140, MSQ600, MSQ620, MSQ690. If after performing the above steps, LinkOne integration works, but silent login does not work correctly, it could be because the latest version of MSALO000.DLL, which launches the parts catalogue, is not available. Ellipse 6.3 should already include the correct version, but earlier versions of Ellipse, such as 6.1 may require a patch. At the same time, the middleware may need to be updated. Note: Versions of Ellipse prior to 6.1 may not have had MSALO000.DLL patched yet, and a change request may be required. If silent login does appear to be working, and LinkOne is being started from Ellipse, but it is not possible to load a book, it could be that an incorrect version of Middleware is being used. Some versions of middleware never correctly return control back to LinkOne to allow it to complete the book load process.
