2010 Domestic Terrorism Conference


The Oregon Department of Justice, Criminal Justice Division, the Oregon HIDTA in partnership with the Oregon State Police, Oregon TITAN Fusion Center and the Western States Information Network, will host the 15th annual Domestic Terrorism Conference October 19 and 20th, 2010, at The Benson Hotel in Portland, Oregon. In addition to presentations, active participation through information sharing is strongly encouraged and required. Attendees are invited to share information regarding extremist activities within their jurisdictions. Information presented will be in accordance with the Oregon Administrative Rules and 28 CFR Part 23. A preliminary agenda includes: Oct 19, 2010 Speakers: D. Darell Dones, SSA, FBI This presentation will provide a general understanding of the criminal mindset of how militias, supremacist groups, terrorist groups, organized crime groups, street and prison gangs integrate and expand together promoting global criminal activity Oct 20, 2010 Area Reports: We invite you to present an area report detailing current issues in your region. If you wish to do so, please indicate on the registration form.

Guidelines: Left wing Right wing Anti-Government Give a snapshot of groups or individuals in your area Criminal activity and associates Please remember that attendees know the ideology of the groups Keep area report under 20 minutes Government lodging rate is available during the conference: $120 for single occupancy, before taxes, and is available 2 days before and 2 days after the conference, as needed. Ask for the DT Conference room block and reserve rooms by September 18, 2010 to ensure the government rate. Parking is 26.00 dollars per night. However, there are numerous parking structures around the Benson that have lower daily rates.

Attendees are responsible for their own hotel accommodations and parking.
