The first and foremost problem of traffic operation is frequent traffic jam.

It wastes valuable time and fuel and makes travel difficult. Many people think that the transport business is more profitable in Bangladesh.. Bangladesh is a small county. It has roads which are not much wider and they cannot bear a traffic rush. There are a number of reasons for this condition of Bangladesh traffic i.e. Poor traffic management system, illegal parking, and increase in number of vehicles, auto rickshaws, trend to break traffic laws, illegal parking, and lack of parking spots.According to a new survey Dhaka gets about 2200 new vehicles each day. In Bangladesh, there are no new systems to control the traffic. They depend on an old system till now. Their management has no new plan to manage this traffic. They have no space to make new roads and have not so much money to develop new roads because their economy is so poor. They know now that a rickshaw is the main cause of traffic jam. They should ban this vehicle. The second thing is parking. Most of the buildings have parking outside on the road which may cause the big traffic jam. They must charge fine from those building owners. They should make new roads and flyovers to decrease this traffic jam in their country. Otherwise they will face this problem daily. Dhaka is the main city which has fallen in this problem by their failed management. Limited resources, invested for the development of transport facilities, such as infrastructure and vehicles, coupled with the rapid rise in transport demand, existence of a huge number of non-motorized vehicles on roads, lack of application of adequate and proper traffic management schemes are producing severe transport problems in almost all the urban areas of Bangladesh. Worsening situation of traffic congestion in the streets and sufferings of the inhabitants from vehicle emissions demand extensive research in this field. However, no detailed study concerning traffic congestion and pollution problems for urban areas of Bangladesh has yet been done. Therefore, it has become increasingly important to examine the present state of the problem. At present, a feeling of distrust among road users are more of the norm thereby allowing each selfish reasons to get ahead but with negative consequence as a whole. A distance conscious environment will prevent traffic jams as everyone would be inclined to give way or yield. The current system where we allow drivers to decide on how much spaces they need to buffer themselves only protect them from colliding ahead but does not contribute to the overall flow of the traffic. Traffic system will only continuously move if significant distances are maintained. A 3-car distance on a 30 km/hr speed will provide enough braking time to maintain a 2-car distance as the vehicle up front suddenly stops. A 1-car distance (present habit) on a 30-km/hr speed will allow the driver to avoid collision by a mere 1-2 meter approx. when the vehicle up ahead suddenly stops. This space will not be enough to allow another vehicle to intersect and cross the street which will result in blocking another possible flow of another segment. Congestion starts when all segments are restrained to flow freely. Motorcycles and even pedestrians also contribute to block the traffic if their flow are also impeded by lack of spaces.
