Internship Program

Part 1:
English Program
tudents begin their General English program at ILAC in Toronto or Vancouver. Students are assigned a principal class based on their tested English level the first day of class. They have the option to choose from an Intensive English Program (30 lessons per week) or Power English Program ( 38 lessons per week) In addition, students will receive focused Business English language instruction during the final 4 weeks of the in-class component.
Part 2:
fter completing the English program, students who have reached the Advanced English level will start their internship. Placements can be offered in most Professional, Resort and Hospitality fields for the purposes of applying the language skills learned in class. The work placement duration will not exceed 50% of the course. Please note that a Student Co-op Visa (C-30 work permit) may be required for placement.
Internship Placement
Part 3:
fter the internship is finished, students will return to an ILAC campus in Toronto or Vancouver. Students will research and write a final report of 1,000 up to 2,000 words related to their internship placement experience. An ILAC research advisor will provide support and assistance to the student while completing this paper. Students must conduct an oral presentation of their report in English in order to receive the Study & Internship Certificate.

Note:
All internships are based on reaching the required English level, having the necessary education and experience, having the right attitude and flexibility; the longer the Internship, the greater the options. Under HRSDC Confirmation Exemption C-30, the student is exempt from HRSDC foreign worker validation
