20th July 2013 THEODORE RIVER FESTIVAL The Chamber of Commerce is participating in the joint effort of the four Dawson River Towns, Baralaba, Moura Taroom and Theodore in celebrating our common attraction the Dawson River. Over the period of September 7th to October 6th the four towns on each weekend and throughout each week will organise functions in their town. The Dawson River Festival in Theodore will be held between October 2nd to 6th, 2013. Our programme for the days is attached. On Saturday 5th October, we are holding our markets at Junction Park. We are inviting all organisations and associations in Theodore and Cracow and market holders from other areas to participate in a day of fundraising and fun. Some local clubs have already indicated their intention to participate or combine with a number of other associations. This is an opportunity to secure some extra trade and enjoy the days festivities. Some suggestions for types of stalls as follows: Food stalls - pancakes, Cake and biscuits, Donuts - Tea/coffee/juice, Fruit smoothies, - Sausage sizzle, Burgers, Kebabs Local produce - Fruit and vegetables from over abundant gardens - Bales of Hay/chaff, - bags of animal manure; - bags of chook feed/grain Second Hand goods, clothing, books Plants & Seedlings, Garden pots & ornaments Homemade jams; sauces; condiments; Woodcrafts & leather goods Sewing & Handicrafts Hand made Jewellery, Beads etc Requirements for the day. 1. Theodore Chamber members FREE 2. Site Plan will be available on Market Day 3. Provide your own tables, chairs and cover 4. Powered sites very limited. Preferably provide own generator. It is unnecessary to apply for a permit from the Banana Shire Council as the Chamber will have one covering all stallholders. It would be appreciated if attached form could be returned to the Chamber of Commerce before 25th September 2013, indicating your intention to participate. Yours faithfully
