2 Design, supply and installation of audio-visual system as shown on Drawings and as specified herein.

REFERENCES A. Refer to the requirements of the applicable Sections of Division 16 ELECTRICAL of these Specifications.

SUBMITTALS A. Product Data: Submit manufacturer's technical data and installation instructions for each item; include rough-in dimensions, connection requirements, performance, material, manufacturer's model numbers, furnished accessories, and other similar information. Shop Drawings and Catalog Cuts. Manufacturer and Installer Qualification. Certificates of Compliance with the specified requirements.

TRANSPORTATION, HANDLING AND STORAGE A. Deliver materials to site in manufacturer's original factory wrappings and containers, clearly labeled for identification of manufacturer, brand name and contents. Store materials off ground in original undamaged packages and containers, inside well-ventilated area protected from weather, moisture, soiling, extreme temperatures, and humidity.

WARRANTY A. B. Submit written warranty signed by the Manufacturer, Installer and Contractor and for 1-year period from the date of substantial handover. Warranty shall cover repair and replacement of defective materials and workmanship.

QUALITY ASSURANCE A. Audio-visual equipment shall be standard products of a recognized manufacturer regularly engaged in the production of such equipment, and which has been equipped and operating for a minimum period of 5 years, producing work similar in type and quality as required for this Project. Audio-visual equipment manufacturer shall be subject to approval of Engineer.

Equipment and the related accessories shall be products of a single manufacturer to the greatest extent possible. Installer's Qualifications: Audio-visual equipment shall be installed by the manufacturer, or a firm that has more than 5 years successful experience in the installation of audio-visual equipment similar to that required for this project, and that has been licensed by the manufacturer of the audio-visual equipment. Installer (Firm) shall be subject to the approval of the Engineer.

Speakers shall round 10W rated input, 180 mm dia. baffle, HIPS case, cone speaker with silver aluminum punching. Speakers shall be provided where shown and shall be of the high quality permanent magnet type. Speakers shall conform to EIA, SE-103, and RS-278-A. Speakers shall be ceiling mounted type speakers, and shall be installed where shown on the drawings. All metal parts shall be cadmium plated and dimensions and mounting holes shall conform to EIA Standards. Frequency response shall be essentially uniform over a band of 10012,000 Hz.

Digital video recorder 1. Description: Digital, time-lapse type, full-frame and motion recorder, with removable hard drive. a. b. c. Recording Time: 400 hours minimum. Resolution: 720 by 480 lines, minimum. Programming shall be from trackball and push buttons on face of the recorder, settings shall be displayed on any video monitor connected to the recorder. PART 3 - EXECUTION 3.1 INSTALLATION A. B. Install each audio-visual equipment in accordance with approved shop drawings and the manufacturer's written instructions and recommendations. Install equipment in their location after finishes in the area have been completed. Adequate clearances shall be provided as recommended by manufacturer for proper operation of the equipment.

C.

Conduits, wiring and other related electrical works shall conform to the requirements specified in Section 16050 - BASIC ELECTRICAL MATERIALS AND METHODS as well as the manufacturer's written recommendations.

3.2

TESTING A. Test audio-visual equipment to verify proper operation. Follow manufacturers written recommendations regarding testing. Make necessary adjustments, if required. Verify that accessory items required have been furnished and installed. Remove packing materials from equipment items and leave items in clean condition, ready for operation. Protect equipment during construction period as recommended by the manufacturer and directed by the Engineer. Replace damaged equipment, if required. END OF SECTION
