GOALS: 1. to improve sts. knowledge about occupations,jobs 2. to stimulate pupils imagination,creativity and have fun while studying this lesson 3. to enable sts. to use conditional sentences OBJECTIVES : by the end of the lesson the sts. DIDACTIC STRATEGIES 1. METHODS AND PROCEDURES: conversation,explanation,dialoque ,brainstorming, R.A.I. 2.MATERIALS(AIDS): textbook, chalk, blackboard, handouts, pictures 3.CLASS MANAGEMENT: -teacher-whole class -teacher-student -group work - role-play - student - teacher ANTICIPATED PROBLEMS: Most students -will have problems with reading and translating some words expressing jobs -may have problems in using conditional sentences and translate them.

ACTIVITY 1: AIM: 1. talk about jobs , describing their job PROCEDURE: The pupils work in groups of 5 each group has a task ,to write as many occupations as they can think of they have 2 min. ,after that the each group has to correct their list with the help of the class ticking each correct occupation ,next thei have to count up the number of points for each team and congratulate the winners From that list we choose a few occupations to talk about The teacher tell sts. to think for a moment about the reasons for their order.,and after that to talk about this between groups We elicit some key words which might suggest which occupations is being talked about in each case, e.g

much ,yes, its bit intimidating at first because you know youre watched by millions of people! But you get used to it as long as you have a good voice. Other pupil - I would like to be a DENTIST yes,it is a hard work but I dont mind working in other peoples mouths.The main problem in this profession is that people are afraid of having their teeth seen to but things are changing now I take feedback ,accepting a variety of answers as long as they match with the topic. We might like to write one or two of the most original or controversial suggestions on the board. Sugested answers: ARCHEOLOGIST: Do you (realy) like being an archeologist? Isnt a boring job? PHOTOGRAPHER : Being a photographer is just clicking a camera.isnt is?...

PROCEDURE: The teacher tell sts. to look at the grammar box and discuss it with a partner especially in terms of how they would expres the same link between ideas in their mother tongue .While they are working ,writw on the board: ifnot and if,but only if Asks sts. For other ways of expresing the phrases on the board in order to elicit unless and provided that/providing that/as lond as respectively. Check sts. Have understood the meaning by asking them which expression means if not (unless) and which expressions means a strong if (provided/ providing yhat/as long as). Hihglight the fact that thatcan be omitted after provided/ providing. The teacher gives some explanations to the sts. unles can only replace if not if the other clause in a first conditional sentences (real conditon) is negative in form or meaning and gives some examples and some exercise ex no 7 and some handsout.

FEED-BACK: Using the R.A.I. technique PROCEDURE: The teacher throw a ball in the classroom The sts. have to catch it. Who catch the ball have the right to put a question to another pupil, from the topic that we studied in this lesson. HOMEWORK: PROCEDURE : The teacher gives a handout,asks the sts. to look on them and scan them for some misunderstandings the pupils have to solve them If there is time left ,sts. starts doing this activity in the classroom. TIMING: 2 min.
