Greetings in CJhrist,

Fifty-five Indians and Anglo-Indians net at the Mission Bungalow on Wednesday-

Evening, February 18, 1953> to celebrate the second birthday of the Chiarch of Christ in the Jhansi Civil Lines area. It was good for us to neet together,
for it nade us realize we are not so smll as nay seen, when neeting in got separate groupsEnglish and Hindi. Kent was in charge of the program he challenged the folk to be "urgent in season, out season". Let us hope the
next two years will be as glorious as the past two.
The Churches of Christ Convention to be held in Kulpahar will soon be here. The

dates are March 12th to 15th. The thene this year is "The Lig^t of the World". Pastor Sanuel Nath is to bring a nessage, "Having Cone Out of Darkness into the Light" and Kent is to speak on the subject, "A Message to the Church of Christ, in the Light of Christ". Tlie progran is all in Hindi, thus the trans
lation of the topics fTon Hindi into English nay seen a little odd to us. There are approxinately 25 of our Jhansi Christians who will attend the convention. This always proves to be a tine of spiritual enrichnent.

Following the Convention Easter season will be upon us.

You have no doubt heard

of the Parkers* ooving over into Sipri, another section of Jhansi, where they will be closer to the Anglo-Indian work. They will conduct a Pre-Easter Meeting

in English each evening from Palm Sunday, March 29, to Easter Sunday, April 5,
1953- There is talent in the Anglo-Indian gro\Q) that can be used for special music etc. At the same time over this side in the Church, Brother Wath and Kent

MTill be working with the Hindi speaking foOJc, They will speak alternate evenings, P.uth and our newest student, Edgar Paul, will be conducting a children's meeting
each afternoon. We have hopes of an ingathering of souls at this season.
Here in India we have an unfair advantage over you in the homeland. We have Christmas practically every month in the year. Christmas jiarcels are still

arriving.

Due to the heavy overseas traffic of mails this year, parcels are

coming through very very slowly; but most of them are in excellant condition
upon arrival.

Remember us in your prayers and the various activities of the church here in

India, not only in the coming month, but daily. It is with grateful hearts we say thank you, and God bless you one and all for your unceasing faithfulness in
the support of the work in India,

Your servants in Christ,

The Bates.
