After downloading EMC_clariionCx600_255172.tar.Z, uncompress the file:

# uncompress EMC_clariionCx600_255172.tar.Z
# tar -xvf EMC_clariionCx600_255172.tar
Before adding any ASL package, ensure Volume Manager is installed and enabled:
# vxdctl mode
mode: enabled
To verify that the array is configured correctly in auto-trespass mode, see the
EMC documentation entitled EMC Installation Roadmap for CX-Series and FC-Series
Storage Systems, Chapter 4
Setting failover mode and system type
Use the Navisphere command line interface (CLI) to set the default storage-system
type and failover mode properties with the following commands:
# navicli -h <host> systemtype -config 3
# navicli -h <hos>t storagegroup -sethost -host solaris <host> -failovermode 2
where host is the IP address or network name of the SP in the storage system.
To install the package:
# rpm -ivh VRTSClariionCx600-1.1-1.1.i686.rpm
After the package is installed, you must run the vxdctl enable command to claim
the disk array as a CLARiiON array:
# vxdctl enable
After running vxdctl enable, you should see libvxDGCclariion.so in the output of
the vxddladm listsupport command:
# vxddladm listsupport | grep -i libvxDGCclariion.so
libvxDGCclariion.so A/P DGC CLARiiON

# rpm -qi VRTSClariionCx600-1.1-1.1
