No matter what way you do it, mash o r no mash, having guard as L1/R1 makes substituting much easier. #''Don't abuse your chakra dash'' unless you're trying to do a specific gimmick. It might work at low level play and on the CPU but as you progress through the ranks, chakra dashing is a high risk, low reward action. Emphasis on high risk i f you're facing Shikamaru or any person with a non-projectile ougi. Many charact ers have ninja movement (press X twice) that are safer means of movement such as Minato's teleport or Orochimaru's slither. #''Watch your enemy's chakra.'' The chakra levels of your enemy can tell a lot. ##If it's always at full then the opposing player is probably a newbie or a juts u spammer. ##If it's restored just back at the amount needed for an Ougi then the opponent might be fishing for it. ##If it's low then your enemy is probably someone who likes to play rushdown. Th is means the enemy is ruthless but as a payoff, extremely vulnerable because no chakra means no substitution which is tantamount to melee abuse. #''Keep your chakra up.'' The more chakra you have the more you can substitute a nd thusly the safer you are. #''Don't charge chakra unnecessarily.'' There are many situations where it can b e unsafe (ex. charging while on top the enemy) or unwise (ex. enemy is vulnerabl e). #''Most ultimate jutsu can intercept rushdown players'' as well as some grabs so instead of blocking, use it! #''Instead of trying to KnJ every attack in a melee combo, just wait and time it for one.'' Doing the former will more often than not fail, it's better to take a few hits and succeed at KnJ than take a risk and perhaps fail to KnJ at all. #''Block Team Ultimates.'' Team Ultimates have a huge radius and amazing trackin g which means it's impossible to dodge unless you're battling on a large map lik e '''Site of Planetary Devastation''' and you're on other sides of the map. #''When there are Chakra Balls on the field, charge, even if you don't have to.' ' Chakra Balls accelerate charging speed a lot. Additionally, if you seize them before the enemy you can prevent them from getting a steady footing on the flow of battle. #''Shuriken can be used to interrupt certain jutsu'' or even certain combos too which can shut down characters that depend on spamming jutsu. #''Capitalize on enemies that are knocked down.'' This can include, but not limi ted to, two things: ##Knocked down characters don't have many options compared to standing character s. This character has one of the best chakra shuriken in the game b ecause of it's superior tracking over all projectiles and it's high priority. SM /H Naruto has an inferior set of battle items though. Black Chidori can be great but hard to hi t with if the user is far away or if the opponent is diligent. ====Support==== ''[4/5]'' Giant projectile only slightly weaker than his brother's ====Overall Rating==== ''[5/5 (Kirin), 4/5 (CTS)]'' Sasuke's one of the fastest characters and some of his combos are hard to punish. Even if they are KnJ'd they're hard to cut withou t a long distance move because he moves a good distance horizontally. His ranged moves on the other hand are extremely dangerous because while a flurry of proje ctiles is great pressure, he's really vulnerable to dash jutsu. All of his jutsu are superb, his normal has a giant area of effect and his hold normal nearly ne ver misses if the enemy is in optimal range. Tilt is pretty useless because of i t's range and recovery time. Kirin grinds at the enemy defense and hits three ti mes--vastly superior to CTS and Akatsuki Sasuke. ====Character Associations==== *''Support is similar to Itachi's.'' Her Ougi is unusual as a dash move because unlike orthodox variations, it can't intercept rushers and is extremely situational. The aerial '''Cherry Blossom Clash''' is faster and has b etter range. She would no doubt be a ''[5/5]'' it weren't for the fact that usin g shurikens against her shuts '''Cherry Blossom Clash''' so quickly if the playe r doesn't use good timing. ====Tactics==== *Her jutsu work extremely well at ripping through people spamming projectiles. If the enemy is blocking it then you'll have t o press the melee button before you slide off the enemy because it'll be unsafe. *Even though it doesn't look like it, '''Charging Straight''' is a bit of a surp rise move like Guy's and Killer Bee's normal. It can easily be said that his projectiles are much more prominent than his melee atta cks. His chakra Shuriken rival's Gaara's and his normal jutsu has high priority due to it being a series of three projectiles. His ougi has one of the largest r adiuses of all dash jutsu and his throw is great albeit has a bit of a start up time. Unlike all of the other projectile char acters (and even most of the melee characters), he has probably the fastest and shortest melee in the game which means he can dish out great damage safely if ne eded. His grab is also supremely swift compared to other characters. One of his undeniable glaring flaws is his large jutsu start ups. His normal, while awesome for pressure, has this trait and his ougi can't intercept rushers like other ou gis unless you time it meticulously. ====Tactics==== *Make no mistake; he is not like the other projectile fighters. ::and/or **a defensive support to interrupt melee combos. :As soon as the awakening sequence finishes, get the first hit in. After that st art mauling on them and don't let up because the second you do, you're bound to be spammed without chance of safe recovery. If by chance that situation does ari se, block (Itachi's and Killer Bee's) or dodge until you see an opening. If you think they're going to Chakra Dash then block. Q. ''..Sasori's awakening?'' :A. Keep moving and don't stop. Q. ''..spammer (inexperienced) Deidara?'' :A. Use your ranged attacks (preferably your Chakra Shuriken if it's not a Senbo n) and barrage the opponent in question. Most attacks have higher priority than Deidara's ranged. Q. ''..substitution mashers/turbo users?'' :A. If they don't know any better then usually shuriken spamming works to dwindl e their chakra. Pay attention to their chakra levels because the lower and lower it gets, the less they can substitute. Equally as important, be careful about g etting hit by knockdown attacks because then the enemy will have a chance to res tore their chakra. Q. ''..people who just keep chakra dashing to me?'' :A. Block beforehand. They'll bounce right off of you. This is useful to know ag ainst a Susano'o player. Q. ''..laggers?'' :A. Stay as far as you can. Watch your enemy's movement because you'll have to f ocus on punishing over anything else. Laggers will most often want to chakra das h or projectile spam because they too are frustrated with the lag so be sure to whip out an Ougi to intercept it. Every move you want to do, try to do it a minu te or so in advance so the game catches up with your decisions. If the player is n't a masher then instead of being far away, play rushdown because their substit ution timing will more or less be mediocre because of the lag. ===Should I get this game?=== There's only one question I have to ask you in response: "Do you like Naruto?" I f the answer is yes then get the game. If not then no. It's simple as that. If y ou're looking for a great story mode or a deep fighting system then look elsewhe re; this game is essentially only for Naruto fans and the rare, but ''extremely well-polished'' boss battles. ===What do Supports do?=== When summoned by clicking the shown shoulder button, the character you picked wi ll pop into battle and perform an attack.
