Introduction to the study
A Mutual Fund is an ideal investment vehicle where a number of investors come together to pool their money with common investment goal. Respective Asset Management Company (AMC) manages each Mutual Fund with different type of schemes. An investor can invest his money in one or more schemes of Mutual Fund according to his choice and becomes the unit holder of the scheme. Fund manager in different types of suitable stock and securities, bonds and money market instruments then invests the invested money in a particular scheme of a Mutual Fund. Each Mutual Fund is managed by qualified professional men, who use this money to create a portfolio, which includes stock and shares, bonds, gilt, money-market instruments or combination of all.

Statement of the problem

The study attempts to analyze the performance of equity mutual fund with Reference to ICICI SECURITIES LTD, Bangalore.

Need of the study

The study of mutual fund has its own significance. Thus study is important to know the investors perception about mutual fund services.

Objectives of the study

To understand what type of mutual fund is most preferred by the existing customer selection. To find the best mutual fund in its category To understand the best way to attract customer investing in mutual fund by understanding the factors responsible for making a mutual fund successful. To find out the reasons behind not investing in mutual fund and to find out the most important attributes so as to keep the existing customer & to attract new customers. Scope of the study

The study would be conducted in ICICI SECURITIES LTD, Bangalore. The scope of the study would be customer only. The study would enable to analyze the perception of investors towards the Mutual fund about mutual fund services of ICICI SECURITIES LTD, Bangalore .

Limitation of the study

The study would be limited to customer of ICICI SECURITIES LTD, Bangalore . Respondents may not disclose true opinion. The duration of the study is relatively less.

Company Profile
ICICI SECURITIES LTD is depository participant (DP) and it is providing the financial services to the share holders and various other DPs also providing almost same services which leads to a competition. So in order to retain the existing customers of ICICI SECURITIES LTD and to attract new customers knowing the customers need and preferences and expectation is very important.

The research design used is Exploratory Research. The data was collected through both primary & secondary sources. Primary data was collected from the market by interview and observation.
