) A revolutionary wave of demonstrations and protests occurred (and continue) in the Arab world. To date, there have been revolutions in Tunisia and Egypt; a civil war in Libya resulting in the fall of its government; civil uprisings in Bahrain, Syria, and Yemen.

(hint: use a mobile phone and read a newspaper.) On 10th July, The News of the World ceased publication after 168 years due to allegations of phone hacking and corruption by the paper. On 13 th July, the Leveson Inquiry began.

(hint: walk down an aisle with someone.) His Royal Highness Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and Her Royal Highness Catherine Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, were married on 29th April.

(hint: pretend to break into a shop and steal things.) On 4th August, a police officer shot and killed 29-year-old Mark Duggan during an attempt to arrest him in Tottenham. Between 6 th to 10th August, several London boroughs, cities and towns across England suffered widespread rioting, looting and arson.

(hint: pray in the church, make a cross sign, step outside and put up a tent up and sleep in it.) The Occupy Wall Street protest movement began on 17th September in Zuccotti Park, located in New York City's Wall Street financial district. On 15th October, 2,500-3,000 people gathered outside St Paul's Cathedral, with around 250 camping overnight.

(hint: stroke your long beard and get shot dead.) Osama bin Laden was killed in Pakistan on 2 nd May by a United States special forces military unit. The operation, code-named Operation Neptune Spear, was ordered by United States President Barack Obama.

(hint: act as a mad dog hiding in a hole in the ground, then die.) Muammar Gaddafi died on 20th October during the 2011 Libyan civil war. At the time of his death, Gaddafi was 69 years old.

(hint: sing, drink and collapse.) Amy Winehouse died of alcohol poisoning, aged 27, on 23 rd July. Her album Back to Black subsequently became the UK's best selling album so far in the 21st century.

(hint: play with an iPad etc and die.) The Co-founder, Chairman and CEO of Apple Inc. and the CEO of Pixar, died on 5th October, aged 56.

(hint: pretend to be a teacher writing on a chalkboard, then pretend to hold a protest banner.) Tens of thousands of public sector workers striked and attended rallies around the UK over pensions. About two-thirds of state schools shut, and thousands of hospital operations were postponed, as unions estimated up to two million people went on strike.

On 22nd February, a 6.3 magnitude earthquake hit Christchurch, killing at least 65 people and caused widespread damage because it was shallow and close to the city centre. On 11th March, Japan was hit by a huge earthquake and tsunami. Amongst the devastation was the creation of meltdown at the Fukushima nuclear plant.

(hint: do a Korean gesture, clutch at your heart and collapse.) Kim Jong-un became the supreme leader of North Korea after his father Kim Jong-il died of a heart attack on 17 th December, aged 69. He had ruled North Korea since the death of his father Kim Il-sung in 1994.

(hint: draw a cross on paper and put in a box.) The UK voted no in a referendum on 5 th May to decide whether to change the system used to elect Westminster MPs from First Past the Post to Alternative Vote.
