OBJECTIVES The symposium offers a unique opportunity to debate some updated topics in the field of shell and spatial structures, in order to enhance their availability towards high performances and a sustainable architectural and structural design. To that end, it is important to present and discuss recently done works that show us new materials and technologies and subsequently new designs and innovations. Our challenge is the correct application of the natural resources looking for equilibrium among the economic, social, cultural and environmental development, always bearing in mind that the people, their necessities and their welfare are our main concern. THEMES Architecture: The Teaching of Structures, Interaction between Architects and Engineers, Urban Planning.
