Greetings to you again in the name of the One who gives us life eternally, Jesus Christ. May we continue to trust in Him to fulfill His promises to we who are His
children as we show forth His will in our lives.
On Friday, May 2nd, I left for Mt. Au burn, Indiana, to the church where Gene Carey preaches. Virginia had not had the baby yet and was not able to travel such a great distance. Although I missed her very much. I was thrilled with the new acquaintances I made with more of the
Lord's people. On May 4th I preached in the morning service and then presented
our work in the evening service. They will be considering us for possible future

the weekend with her.
The next week was a busy time in pack ing and careing for "little britches" (nick name given to Shane Alan by Grandma and Grandpa Franklin). As many of you know, you can't get things done quite as
fast with a little one around as you can under normal circumstances. Ah well, looks like these are going to be normal circumstances from now on so I guess we'll just have to get used to it!

the Lord! This brings us to within $65 of our goal of $620 monthly support. The
are really proud of him and thank the Lord that he was born a fine, healthy baby. We also thank the Lord for en trusting the life and soul of this little one to us. Pray for us that we might raise him to be born into the kingdom.
The next Sunday I journeyed on to St. James, Missouri, where I presented our
work to the First Christian Church in the
evening service. I met many relatives there that I didn't realize I had, most of

Please continue to pray for us. We are still in need of $65 monthly support as well as a few appliances, a mimeograph machine, and about $800 for our travel fund. We know that God will supply our every NEED! Thank each of you for your prayers and support and for everything YOU have done as Gods' children to help us to prepare to take the gospel to Tai wan with its millions in darkness. May the Lord bless you richly.
Yours in the precious name of Jesus,

Praise the Lord for His wonderful grace and watchcare! After 25 days on the high seas we finally landed on Taiwan. It was one of the greatest experiences in our life as we pulled into port, knowing that, the Lord willing, this will be our home for
many years to come.

We finally found a nice Japanese style house on Thursday and began moving in on Monday of the following week. The house rents for $112.50 per month and we had to pay 3
months in advance.
Our first Sunday was a new experience, too. Jim Banta, a visiting American busi

that sermon because I was finally able to
