Shane Alan 2 weeks old! Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Greetings to you again in the name of the One who gives us life eternally, Jesus Christ. May we continue to trust in Him to fulfill His promises to we who are His
children as we show forth His will in our lives.

On Friday, May 2nd, I left for Mt. Au burn, Indiana, to the church where Gene Carey preaches. Virginia had not had the baby yet and was not able to travel such a great distance. Although I missed her very much. I was thrilled with the new acquaintances I made with more of the

Lord's people. On May 4th I preached in the morning service and then presented
our work in the evening service. They will be considering us for possible future
support.

The next week was a busy time in pack ing and careing for "little britches" (nick name given to Shane Alan by Grandma and Grandpa Franklin). As many of you know, you can't get things done quite as
fast with a little one around as you can under normal circumstances. Ah well, looks like these are going to be normal circumstances from now on so I guess we'll just have to get used to it!

The next weekend I went to Morrow-

ville, Kansas, just a few miles from the

Nebraska border, where Melvin Radney, a student at Manhattan Bible College, is

ministering. A fine young couple from this congregation has promised to give us $20 a month toward our support. Praise
the Lord! This brings us to within $65 of our goal of $620 monthly support. The

Lord's people have been so good to us.

I arrived home on Monday, May 12th. The next day Virginia and I experienced one of the happiest moments of our life together. At 8:20 p.m. on May 13th the Lord gave us a 7 pound 15Vo ounce baby boy. I was so thankful that with my busy

speaking schedule away from home the

Lord allowed me the privilege of being
at home when Shane Alan was born. We

are really proud of him and thank the Lord that he was born a fine, healthy baby. We also thank the Lord for en trusting the life and soul of this little one to us. Pray for us that we might raise him to be born into the kingdom.
The next Sunday I journeyed on to St. James, Missouri, where I presented our
work to the First Christian Church in the

We finally left Muskogee on Saturday morning. May 24th. We arrived in Salem, Illinois, late that night where we stayed with our good friends, Harvey and Maurine Collett. Harvey ministers to Young's Chapel Christian Church where we spoke that Sunday morning. Sunday evening we spoke to the Jennings Church in St. Louis where Dennis Armstrong is the preacher. From there we went home to stay with Virginia's folks for a couple of weeks.

We know that God will supply our every NEED! Thank each of you for your prayers and support and for everything YOU have done as Gods' children to help us to prepare to take the gospel to Tai wan with its millions in darkness. May the Lord bless you richly.

We Are Zherc

Praise the Lord for His wonderful grace and watchcare! After 25 days on the high seas we finally landed on Taiwan. It was one of the greatest experiences in our life as we pulled into port, knowing that, the Lord willing, this will be our home for
many years to come.

We are doing real fine so far. We ap preciate the prayers offered for us by
each one of you. We know that we would not even be here if it were not for you, so please keep up the good work. We start
school on November 10th and we would

especially ask your prayers concerning

this. Also, we have just purchased a mo torcycle (on time) for our transportation. Cars are really expensive here and we feel that we do not really need one right now. May the Lord bless each of you until you hear from us again is our prayer. Al ways look to Jesus for comfort and care. Keep your trust in Him and in Him alone.
