Hard to believe, but its been 5 years since our last picture directory. Lots can change in 5 years. The kids get older, new kids arrive, families move in, families move out. You get the picture! We are pleased to announce that beginning in August, and extending into September, weve contracted with Lifetouch to produce a new picture directory for all six parishes in our cluster. As noted in the bulletin insert last week, you may sign up at any of the available sessions at another parish. Please help us make this photo directory a huge success! The first photo session is scheduled for this coming Friday & Saturday, August 9 & 10, at St. Patricks in Lake Mills. This early date was picked to allow any college bound kids to be included in their family photo. If youre interested in having your family portrait taken at this time, you may sign-up on-line at: www.appt.lifetouch.com or call 1-866-756-0281, option 2 then 4. St. Boniface, Garner will have sign-up on Sunday, August 11, August 18, August 25 & September 1. Sign-up will begin at 9:15 AM in the south entrance before and after Mass.

NOTES FROM OUR PASTOR FR. DENNIS MILLER

The beginning of August is going to be kind of unusual for us in the Archangels Catholic Cluster. First, we welcome Sr. Mary Margaret Kerr of the School Sisters of Notre Dame who will be doing a mission appeal. She will speak this week at the Winnebago parishes and next week at the Hancock parishes. Please give generously. Also, next week we will welcome Archbishop Michael Jackels to the Winnebago County parishes to help us when Fr. Paul is in the Boundry Waters. Archbishop Jackels is the only bishop that Ive ever heard of who so freely and selflessly is willing to give his time assisting priests by subbing for them while theyre on vacation. Im sure you join me in thanking him for his leadership and vision. Last night I had the opportunity to meet with the relatively new Cluster Faith Formation Commission. The purpose of the Commission is to work towards greater quality uniformity of catechesis among the five faith formation programs and to cooperate where it is possible especially in the area of sacramental preparation in order to give our students a larger view of the church than any individual parish can give and help foster a true spirit of collaboration necessary of clustering. WHAT: WHAT: A Marian Retreat - a quiet time to rest and pray. WHERE: American Martyrs Retreat House August 23-25. THEME: Marys Role in Salvation. FEE $120 per person for the weekend. Arrival at 8:00 PM Friday and departure after lunch on Sunday. DIRECTOR: Fr. Jim Starbuck is a spiritual director and he has a healing ministry.
